@julielovesyou321 You don't have to search to watch a video on Youtube. You could have followed a link, it could have been suggested etc. Just saying.
You should care taegget, thoughts like that are disrespectful and ignorant towards the past. As an American if you don't want to learn basic subjects in School it's fine but you should understand Pop Culture.
Thank you FALLOUT 3 for teaching me how horrible the music nowadays is, making me love 50s and 60s music, which was a brilliant era :) i feel so sad i can't live back then... :)
You know what i realized today? i was looking for this song and i typed "Way Back Home" on youtube, and you know what poped up? Hannah Montana, that's when i realized our world is more fucked up than Fallout's
Fallout 3 brought me to this...I just love listening to this song it just brings up good memories. I would be hunting super mutants thinking about my old treehouse lol
Who cares how you stumbled upon the music? If its good music thats all that should matter. Doesnt matter if your grandparents played you the records or if three dog played it to you. We all love the same music :)
I hate when people look down upon us who learned this music from F3. Why is that bad? Would you rather us listen to the shitty fabricated music released nowadays? Who cares where we learned it? Lets just enjoy it.
But sadly, it is true, In the 50's racism was a big problem and the blacks weren't happy with the fact that they were a victim of segregation during that era. Not to mention the fact the Ku Klux Klan was revived due to some civil rights movement. The way tarenttulacs said that was ignorant, but sadly he is right.
I think everyone else as young as me knows this song from Fallout, but on the old kids network "Noggin", I think, there was this moose that would sing to this tune with different lyrics.
And, homosexuality was considered a mental illness for Christ's sake. Not to mention, Scientology was invented in the 1950's when L. Ron Hubbard published "Dianetics." I personally have nothing against Scientologists, but I'll bet the majority of the people watching this do.
@Westmoon67 'Cause Martin Luther King, Jr. was born, and besides, all black people are bitches. Seriously, is everyone who comments on this video a racist, or just retarded? The fifties were a HORRIBLE time for 30% of the U.S. population. That includes Hispanics, who were also targeted during this period.
@bithers9 That's putting it rather black and white. No era has ever been without it's problems. But, the 50's are regarded as a rather prosperous, happy time. That I'm sure has a lot to do with people wanting a change coming out of WWII. Of course, though, the cold war was going on and people were worried about nuclear attacks and communists invading. :P
Not really. Maybe in music it sounded so. I wouldn't think all the African Americans were that happy with segregation and jim crow laws though. Plus all the people getting arrested for political views lol.
@bithers9 the 50's the (early) 20's and the 80's were all happy times (Cold War in the 50's, The Great Depression in the 20's and I guess the Regan era coming to an end in the 80's?)
I like both Fallout 3 and older music. I hate it when people say, "I HEARD IT BEFORE FALLOUT 3, YOU ALL SUCK." We both love the song, so just enjoy the music, no need to start an argument over who heard it first.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow

@christianistheboss Hey, guess what, almost nobody cared about this song for years before Fallout 3 came out. I think its great the fallout series enjoyed this song enough to pay homage to it in their game, and if you're such a fan of "good ol' classic music" you should just shut up and be happy that people were able to breathe new life into it, and generate a genuine interest in this song and songs like it.
Thumbs up if Three Dog actually tricked you while pretending to be John Henry Eden. I was moving to switch the station, thinking " What the hell! I hate the Enclave, I didn't put this shit on." Than he yelled "GOTCHA!!!"
@Dusios Who said there's a target audience? Most of the stuff I listen to is from 20's-50's and I'm 15. No one said the only people who can listen to this is those who lived back when good music was being made.
