It's valuable to view rejection as "being on the right track". There are exceptions, but really if you are getting rejected it means that you are actually making progress.
To use an example from role playing games...
When you are leveling up in an RPG, your character tends to miss attacks far more often at lower levels, but when the fight ends...BAM! your character receives experience points, and they miss less the next time around.
