It`s crazy I`ve seen and learn so many henka of sanshin..The thing is one teacher will no thats wrong and yes thats rite..But I guess really what matters the most is having the rite feeling with each element and having the overall movement and idea behing each one..

good question shadowdude3dy - our Bujinkan team's answer  to your question is:

"yes, you can feel free to do them with a partner, and explore how the movements translate when you add another body or a weapon. They all still work great. If you're just starting though, we recommend working on them as form only for a while."
