I love cross country! I know that i am far from the fastest guy on my team (I run a 21 minute 5k...) but before I joined this year I had never ran or done any sports. my goal is to break 20 min before the season ends next month. Do you think that's possible?
@trenj22 Anything is possible. You will know by how your workouts are going. If you see improvement during practice, it will usually translate into a faster race. In any case, you are doing really well for your first year and will continue to improve.
I am a freshman in high school and run around a 18:40-50 5k. Is this time good enough for a freshman and going to get me to varsity in junior/senior year.
@SpludgeBass It all depends on the level of competition on your team. Every place is different. An 18:40 5K is a great Freshman time! I ran 19:15 by the end of my Freshman season and I was the best Fresh on the team. This time should get you on varsity but there are no guarantees. You will improve though, so you definitely show the potential of a runner that can be really good in the future.
Do you swim a lot chris? In your recent videos your eyes have been red

@cicirunner Appreciate the reply and I will certainly continue to train hard to make varsity. Great videos, thanks for taking the time to make them.

@KatieMluv13 What's your team ranked?

Yeah, never thought of it that way. In Canada, Ontario to be specific, the American equivalent of "State" is OFSSAA. Just a little trivia.
