  • Hello from Santa Barbara CA

  • What dosage of omega 3 are you taking?

  • Thank you for explaining about how the eyes are kept lubricated. It was so interesting. I know this was posted a while ago but I missed it somehow. Did you see the new Made to Stay cream shadows from Catrice? What do you think of them if so?

  • @twitternut I have bought a couple of them and I really ;like them. the gold one is really lovely and they do stay on well.

  • I want some catrice. send me some, let's swap.....

  • I have the same problem that you have with your eyes, and I use eye drops about 4 times a day, which helps. You explained this problem so well, it was very interesting listening to you explain it . I have to be really careful with eye makeup ,and eye make up remover. If I try and use a blue coloured eye pencil I am in trouble. I just stick to the one that I know will give me the least problem.

    Have a great weekend.

    xoxo

  • Love, love Catrice products! I have gotten eyes that are more dry just from age LOL But thankfully nothing dreadful and gtts seem to keep it under control My eyeliner is permanent so only line waterline for special occasions. Great advice :)

  • I shall have to look out for that Rosewood lipstick, looks gorgeous!! Love your vids :)

  • thanks for reply, but sadly we don't have that chain, ill look out for catrice though x

  • That's so strange, I ended up in the optician's last week with the exact same problem! I was told that eyeliner blocks the tear duct which causes dry eyes. Great to see an Irish guru - keep up the good work! x

  • Hi there, that Rosewood lipstick looks just gorgeous! Thanks for all these videos and you have given me the kick up the you know what to start using my old make up (old I mean used a couple of times then tossed aside)! Wish we could get Catrice in Scotland. :) I do not have dry eyes but I have very dry eyelids and its very difficult to wear eyeshadow of any sort :(

  • I wish we had Catrice products in the US. They look so nice. Great video

  • Hi June :) I've been watching your videos for a few weeks now and I love them. I'm tempted to trade you an HD camera for some of that Catrice though!

  • @frozemud3 I know this camera is crap, I have an HD camera but sometimes it's charging or i am just too laxy to use it...I will use it in future i think because I am really fed up looking like Casper the Friendly Ghost.

  • I cant find Catrice products in the U.K. either (sob). That colour is my idea of lipstick Utopia, I would never wear another colour if i could get my hands on it. I found the information on dry eyes very educational, thankyou xxx

  • @Saphirra19 That's a shame about Catrice not being available in the UK. I am surprised at that.

  • I didn't realize you were doing a giveaway....how wonderful!

  • That Simply Rosewood is simply gorgeous! And who knew ( I didn't!) about there being oil-type glands on the waterline. I use to take Fish Oil (for its anti-iflammatory properties - because I have IBD with associated Arthritis). But I switched to Krill Oil (same benefits, but tiny capsules). Krill is a crustacean though, so if anyone is allergic to seafood, it would be a no-no. ~ Susan

  • Oh, how I WISH we could get Catrice here in the states. The items you picked up are just so wonderful!!!

  • I have dry eyes from my rheumatoid arthritis which has caused my lower eye oil glands to clog. My doctor recommended fish oil tablets ( I use Thera Tears) and it has made a huge difference. :D

  • @debbick1 omega 3 is one of the main ingredients in fish oil supplements. It really does help.

  • hiya june im in liverpool england, and i was wondering if that was a chain pharmacy that you found catrice in,ive never seen them over here, but i MUST have those eye shadows they look amazing :-]

  • @crystal60000 Hey, you can get them in Bradley's pharmacies across Ireland as far as I know (they are a chain here!).

  • @crystal60000 I'll check and see if they have a website where you can look up the shades, or just tell me what colours you would like and we can do some swap or something.

  • Hi June Thanks for the wonderful lipstick giveaway.

  • Hi June, Nice video. I'm so jealous of Catrice. I've seen quite a few nice Catric haul/swaps on YouTube recently. The eye shadow packaging looks similar to Shu Uemura. Maybe one day Catrice will be introduced in the US. I hope you get your eye problem sorted out. Liz :)

  • @stepperliz you all need to petition the company! I think cosanova would have been better off to sell these in the US rather than Essence, the products are a lot more attractive.

  • Hi June. Please, would you mind writing in the description box the name of the Bourjois eyeshadow? It looks fantastic and I'd like to get one. Thanks.

  • @zimt1970 it's calles Brun Somptueuse

  • @TheSukiebapswent Thanks. I also wanted to thank you for recommending Catrice 050 Simply Rosewood. You were right: it's a stunning colour that truly qualifies as a must-have. I purchased 6 sticks: two for me and one for each of my sisters. I've also seen that from the line Ultimate Colour, Catrice has a good dupe for MAC Hue and Creme d'Nude. It's called 010 Be Natural and I definitely NEED it, LOL! ;) Sadly that day I only found the tester as the shop assistant told me it's a best seller.

  • @zimt1970 I think Catrice lipsticks are really fantastic quality. A lot of drugstore lipsticks are full of shimmer, like say Maybelline for instance, and that's not to everyone's taste. I love a creamy lip colour and I think Catrice is comparable to a lot of high end lipsticks I own. If you have trouble getting the Be Natural lipstick I am sure I saw it in my pharmacy yesterday, I can pick it up for you if you need. Their All around concealer/corrector palette is really good too.

  • @TheSukiebapswent Hello June. Thanks for your offer but I could find Be Natural at another shopping center. You were most kind. :)

  • oh i'm scared this sounds like me. I'm pleased I watched this video i have been lining my eyes recently with gel liner (because it looks drmataic and it stays put all day ) and wearing lower lash mascara i have to really work to get them off at the end of the day probs giving myself lots of wrinkles in the process and i have noticed my eyes feel achey and tired and they are pink in the outer corners? is gel liner (and false lashes) ok for the top lid only ? x

  • @weechampion Anything on the outside of the lashes is OK. It's when you are putting prodcts on the waterline or tightline you can run into problems

  • My dad is an optometrist, and he has basically scared me from wearing anything more than very minimal eye makeup - you'd be surprised with how many female patients he sees coming in with cornea tears due to gritty eyeshadow or flaking liner/mascara! And he literally cringes when he sees me with makeup on my waterline... hehe.

  • It is a shame that the catrice will not be coming accross the pond lol. Thanks for sharing

    .

  • I've suffered from dry eyes for a long time and even had my tearducts plugged and caterized to help them produce more tears. TheraTears help some but I'm going to try omegas again now that you've reminded. Those lipsticks look gorgeous! I'm jealous of your pharmacy that carries Catrice!

  • I hope your will feel better soon! Aw these Catrice products look great! This Nude Rose liner is so pretty - Gina has been raving about it again and again! :) Oh, if this lipstick doesn't have parabens in it I will be happy to enter!

  • Hi June, Thanks for that info re: the water line. When I see gurus put eyeliner on their tightline, it really bothers me, I think that is even worse!! Thanks for doing the giveaway and have a great day!! Donna

  • Great Video June. I have never tried Catrice and I hear so many people raving about the Lip Liner . You have such beautiful hair . It just has such a nice shine. Thank You for sharing this with us. Ohh and I keep watching for your swap with Debbick1 :)) ღSusieღ

  • @sek4me I discovered it's actually included in one of my videos from before...I will find it and let you know!

  • OOH, the friend you got some things for is drooling right now, LOL! Not only is Catrice not coming to the US but there is a rumor that if sales of Essence do not pick up pronto at Ulta they are pulling their Essence products out of the US. Things are not going well here. It has just been announced that Borders Bookstores are all closing! I feel so bad for all the people I know who work there. Lord knows that we have done our share to stimulate the economy, LOL! ♥Deb♥

  • @MrsTheDoll Deb, the future depends on us! Make up freaks are probably the only prople spending any money any more!

  • Would love to try that lipstick,,

  • Very Nice Drugstore Haul!

  • Thanks so much for describing the dry eye condition. I also suffer from it. I was glad to hear about the omega oils helping, and of course keeping the eyeliner off the waterline is probably the best thing to do.

  • Eyes are without a doubt my fav part of the body....window to the soul and all that!

  • Hello! Living in ireland sounds like a dream! Id love to try that lipstick, I just got married so it seems like the perfect color to wear as a new mrs! :)

  • Computer workers are more likely to suffer from dry eye syndrome, that's what happened to me, so severe it caused a major abrasion of the left cornea, had to have surgery last December and I never put liner on my waterline. Since then, I have been using LidCare to wash my eyes and massage the base of the lashes and the waterline to activate the secretion of the glands and it works. I use less and less eyedrops which also gets irritating on the long run Thanks for sharing!

  • @mjgremlin Yes, massaging the lower lid is something my optician told me to do as well. Forgot to mention that, thanks!

  • I hope your eyes are better soon. No more waterlining for me. I do have a tendency toward dry eyes and your info was very interesting, thanks for posting it. I love watching your videos and your friend MrsTheDoll is great too.

I would love to try the Catrice lipstick.

  • Thanks for the eye care tip! Would love to try that lipstick shade!!:)
