In singapore,we get 10lb max but normally,we get 2-3lbers.Today I got 4 of them.The run is soo sweet and temensis fight twice as hard as other peacocks! :D

It's nice to see him using lighter tackle, most guys use like 40 to 80 lbs. test to haul these guys in. This is more fun.

If you wanna catch one of these use Top water plugs.. it doesn't have to be so fast like this guy.. He's just in their backyard, but you can get them in the States!! By rock banks, water management locks, and also bridges...

Went fishing for these when I was in Brazil this August. It was at a lake about 1hrs drive from a town called Pompeu. Had the best 2 days fishing of my life.just used a simple rattler and it worked real well. It takes a while to find them and catch them but it is well worth it.

5. Stick with something that makes noise.

these fish will eat anything that gets in their territory. but don't be fooled. They are the BAIT FISH of Lake guri, rio orinoco, and the amazon.

try catching a 20 lb. Payara. Good luck

When I lived in Venezuela we used to go fishing in lake Guri at the mouth of the Orinoco river all the time. The biggest I've pulled out of there was 15.5 lbs.

My dads pulled out 17 pounders

Uncle 18 lbs

Camp record...28.8 lbs...thats right 28.

I lived in Panama for awhile and got to fish for peacock bass...best FISHING EVER! Caught around 100 of those suckers a day...I have a five pounder stuffed upstairs(I was only 9 when I caught it). My dad has a 10/11 pound.
