Hey ppl I know that by today's standards this looks horrible, but growing up in the 90s as a young kid when the ninja turtles were one of the biggest things ever, seeing this live, which I had the great opportunity of doing so, was amazing at the time. I know its not a show with crazy mechanics and insane stage effects, but when alot of us 90s kids were growing up this was something we all found to be absolutely amazing regardless of the way splinter and shredder look.

I was expecting him to jump into the scene and laugh like a madman before beginning his speech, but this sudden change was far more jarring - the whole Time Displacement is a contrast against the sweet, gentle mood Splinter had established. Having him collapse from the shock, as opposed to finishing his number, was a nice touch.
