@aitch3  ERTL is a company that made thomas characters from 1985-2004. But in the US they started to make them in 1989 and stopped in 2001. They made like EVERY character.

I find that the ERTL models are the most accurate of all the Thomas models. Yes, more so than even the wooden ones or the Take Alongs. It's a pity that some of the characters (like Ivo Hugh and Mike, for example) do not appear in ERTL at all (the two above mentioned appear only in wooden and take-along as respectively). Zhen shi shang nao jin oh... :(
