@SharnsiR Actually i used him as my torch holder in dark caves, but after i got the helm that lets you see in the dark and detect life ive just told him to wait on top of dive rock (but i havent actually killed him nor do i intend to) and i reverse pickpocketed him (and used the "permanent bound armor glitch"), now hes a deadric fan rather than an adoring fan (hes now wearing full bound armor and a bound claymore).

However, be sure to speak to him before leaving with the cowl, otherwise he will dissapear till you finished the mission. Keep in mind that this method does not work with the last mission.

Actually, you can do the third one without console commands. First, obtain a wieghtless head gear (Mages hood, bound helmet, etc...). Then, conjour up an animal, attack it, and he will aid you. Then go outside and come back in. Now, he is wearing the new gear and removed the cowl. Pickpocket it from him (by paralyzing him or normal pickpocketing if you are very luck). Then wear the cowl and speak with him. After he gives you a mission, he will act this way. I tried it and it works.

@alecandmattgeil Actually if you've played this quest through you'll learn that the Gray Fox's mask is magical and erases others memories of who you were after you put it on. When The Gray Fox passes the mask on to you in the completion of the actual quest, his memories of being The Gray Fox disappear.
