The guy who was reading off the emails was selective, he pick two for pro and one who shared that tithe not money but everything you can offer. And the email reader shared his “tithing” has the reason for being blessed not because of Christ
2 Corinthians 9: vers.7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; "not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver. This means you can give to; and what ever you want; aka purposeth in ur heart.
I can't believe how paltry the argument for tithing is. It really does NOT have a solid biblical basis-pure and simple! But the problem is PEOPLE LOVE LAW!
If we really had to sow money to receive God’s blessings, it wouldn’t be called “grace” anymore because it is in the fact that it took everything we deserved (punishment for sin) and placed it on Jesus and that it FREELY gave us everything which we didn’t deserve, namely forgiveness, finances, salvation, healing, etc. So teaching people that they need to tithe first in order for God to bless them, is essentially throwing God’s free gift back into His face and opting to buy it from Him instead.
@0.41 woman, that's the problem in the NT Church today...people are "redesigning" the purpose of the tithe. Believers cannot make up their own rules for tithing and add the OT teachings to their error and then say "God said." These people of robbing God of His glory.
Exodus Chapter 20:Vers.17 the tenth commandment: Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
Too the lady in pink. That was a real good speel. However that is not a reality where the church actually helps people in many cases. I know personally & I have friends who lost homes while titihing etc. Tithing does not work flat it! If it did there would be not one christian in lack. Use your brain people. If the promise is for "us" & true today. The text says that a window would open where there would not be room enough to receive it. That sounds like over & above more than enough. Not so..
@Wormanatti The black preacher does alot of running the questions, scripture & is very crafty in his response. Stick with the issue at hand. Tithing is being taught as obligatory & it is not. Tithing is being taught as bringing money into the local church while money was never ever acceptable.
