  • So this arrangement of the theme music was used on the opening and closing titles on the 1968-69 and 1969-70 season episodes.

  • But did this particular mix of the theme song appear on the opening titles of the season 4/5 episodes when NBC originally broadcasted them?

  • And you got the famous Screen Gems logo in.....I love a purist!

  • This is something that you can roller skate to. Heck, I would

  • This was the Season 5 Theme

  • man oman -i use to dance to this , i was in the 4th grade. love this closing credits song, and the screen gems- what 1960s memories.

  • @peteboy1113 -ooops sept 1969, i was in 7th grade. oh well.

  • These credits are from the episode "Djinn-Djinn And the Pied Piper", a season five episode [September 23, 1969]- Hugo Montenegro's orchestration of the closing theme was used in seasons four and five. Barton MacLane was dying of cancer in late 1968, but filmed as many episodes as he could, almost to the end [this is why Vinton Hayworth succeeded him], and died on New Year's Day 1969; his last episode {"Jeannie And the Case Of the Porcelain Puppy"} was seen in March '69 , 'towringer'.

  • Actually, this is the season 4 and 5 version of the closing theme.

  • This must have been one of the later seasons, because it has General Schaeffer as opposed to General Peterson (Actor Barton Maclaine had died).

  • I'm still trying to figure out that instrument with the bells. Sounds like a guitar but it has the most interesting tone

  • @maestrowick -me too. man i love the 60s shows.
