hartley Enterprises makes that engine, the engine on here is called the H1V8. They have a lot of info on their website, just search for their name, it will come up.

I heard the Atom was going to be a 3L NA V8, making 500hp at 10000rpm. But this car doesnt need that power because it wont be able to put it to the ground, and the amount of drag would limit it to 160mph. WAY too powerful, get the 300 or 245hp one instead

Although they used to use small V8 engines in formula one, (3 litre etc) the cost of the engine alone makes this car an impractical build. Oh and the other guys are right, the music is poo!

So I have actually seen the car that the engine in this video belongs to and it is an Ariel Atom, but it does not have any of the body kit or areo that the car in the video has. My video titled Bikini Start is the car being started at PIR and I have pictures of the car on the track. I know the owner and it took him almost 2 years to get the engine in and working correctly. It is a Hartley H1 V8 based on the Hayabusa heads. This one displaces 2.8L and puts out about 400hp naturally aspirated.

i bet the guys a " H1 V8" could build that engine, they take 2 hayabusa engine and make at 2.8-3.0l V8, 400 HP, and i have seen that engine with twin turbo produce 1000 HP. I want to take ferrari 308 and make a ferrari 288 GTO Clone with 1000 HP.

I heard the Atom was going to be a 3L NA V8, making 500hp at 10000rpm. But this car doesnt need that power because it wont be able to put it to the ground, and the amount of drag would limit it to 160mph. WAY too powerful, get the 300 or 245hp one instead

H1 v8 hayabusa motor. and it was either a 2.6l and 2.8l or even a 3.0l if it is one and idk if it makes 500bhp the 2.8L makes about 400hp the 3.0L with better cams and everything polished and ported might make 450hp. but as long as we are making these ridiculous hp claims im going to say it can make 1400+hp with twin turbo and running on nitro meth : ) anyone want to donate $50,00 to make this dream come true?

Although they used to use small V8 engines in formula one, (3 litre etc) the cost of the engine alone makes this car an impractical build. Oh and the other guys are right, the music is poo!

A V8 in that car would just make WAY too much TQ. They had it right with the civic type R motor either supercharged or turbo charged. Me personally I would have the turbo version.

I don't want to drive 100 miles then have to wait 12 hours for batteries to charge only to run out in another 100 miles. So you can hop off your oil bashing soap box because arguing this with me isn't going to change a damn thing. People die from electricity too so I guess we shouldn't use that either huh?

this is horrible, but mostly because the person that made this video has no idea what he is talking about. the photos of the car is a prototype that never actually came out, it was supposed to have a supercharged v8. but they never got it running. the photos of the engine is from an actual atom that has a v8 engine made from Hartley, its a combination of 2 hayabusa engines displacing 2.8 liters with 400 hp.i believe someone posted this info already.the car can be see here dpcars . net

So I have actually seen the car that the engine in this video belongs to and it is an Ariel Atom, but it does not have any of the body kit or areo that the car in the video has. My video titled Bikini Start is the car being started at PIR and I have pictures of the car on the track. I know the owner and it took him almost 2 years to get the engine in and working correctly. It is a Hartley H1 V8 based on the Hayabusa heads. This one displaces 2.8L and puts out about 400hp naturally aspirated.
