I was 13 when I first seen this movie and loved it and it was also the first time that i had seen Johnny Cash in a movie and he did an excellent job,as did Kirk Douglas as well!!!This brings back memories...thank you lotttttts 4 posting :-)

i love both douglas and cash and they were both great in this film.i saw it as a kid and didn't want to see either of these guys die in the movie.the plot was excellent and you couldn't wait for the big fight at the end.

'A Gunfight' has a great premise that makes the viewer watch till the end, makes each scene before the end important, and then delivers on the end. Kirk Douglas and Johnny Cash are super watchable in this movie. The seem grounded to the earth in their weighty roles. A rare type western that should please film noir fans, as that's what it feels like.

That dang old Kirt Douglas never had a once of fat on him. He had to have been 40 something in this movie.
