@AnimaniaGalaxy I think the firmware update gives me a random user name. If that's a question about the credibility of this video, you should know I never posted any fake. In particular this downgrader was released a while ago and can be found easily on my website.

FYI... People can actually DDOS PSPs just by getting the MAC Address and disable any online connectivity.

Oh, and you could clean the analog by rubbing alcohol on it.

Alright I downloaded the 6.20 OFW and I put it in the GAME folder and the SCE Verifier went through so now I am on 6.20 OFW. The only thing I just wanted to know is whether it would be better to try and downgrade to 5.00m33-6 from 6.20, or just upgrade directly from 6.20 to 6.39 ME-R4 CFW sorry for all the question asking....

Also I have an Extended Life LED Pandora Battery that I bought from pandora sales along with a 1GB Magic Memory Stick it has all the update files and I wanted to use that to downgrade, but whenever I switched to pandora mode and put the magic memory stick in it would switch on green but the service mode menu never came up does anybody know why, because I would like to upgrade to 5.00m33-6?

Hello I am trying to downgrade using these files, but it says error updater mismatch in the MD5 sce updater.... It says my hardware is 02g, do I need any extra files in order to downgrade from SONY OFW 6.39 to 6.20?

then make a folder called UPDATE in same folder and in it put 6.20 OFW update eboot[try psp-hacks . com (best site for ofw updates)] then run downgrader

sorry for reposting for those of you who get mismatch try 6.20 or vice versa thats wut happened to me i had 03g but i tryed to dg to 6.35 gave me mismatch error.

yes it will WORK WITH ALL PSP on ofw 6.38 and 6.39 so sstop asking if your not sure what g you have just run downgrader and it will tell you 05g ithink and below

put 6.20 update in game folder and for 05g and above put 6.35 update only

I finally figured it out. The 6.20 ofw i was using was a USA version so it was not compatible with my Go so I got a EU 6.20 update eboot and swapped them out. The process worked just fine for me after that.

I've noticed the error comes up when the downgrader is attempting to access the SCE updater. If the OFW is wrong I dont know what to do to fix it as I have rebooted the system to make sure I am not in 6.35PRO mode.

09g hardware does not work with 6.20 firmware.

@monkey64cow the downgrader says 6.38 because it was a beta (some1 quickly ported his code from 6.38 to 6.39 qnd didn't update the GUI), but it is indeed running on 6.39

Ok for now I am using my old psp 1000. Just the analog is messed up. They may still be at 6.39 ofw by the time I get a new psp. Im getting it late july. And if they update the firmware on the new 3000 psps I can still run signed homebrew.

@DJWrath1 If you are gonna get a PSP 3000 in a couple months then in that time Sony will come out with another firmware which you will have to wait for hackers to make downgradable except that time it may take longer for them to make a downgrader for it. So if I were you I would buy a PSP 3000 as soon as possible now.
