Just so everyone knows, the SU-47 as seen above will NOT see service in any airforce. Russia announced nearly a year ago that their contract for a new fifth generation tactical strike fighter aircraft has been given to the T-50. Both of these planes are excellent pieces of machinery, but Russia believes the powerful and full 3D thrust capabilities of the T 50 will allow even russia's novice pilots to compete against america's best. That question may never be answered but oh well.

No not all aircraft are multirole. The F-22 raptor was called an air superiority fighter for a reason. Its only roles were electronic and Air-to-Air fighting as it had very limited ground attack capabilities, due to the lack of a bomb bay, lack of attachment capabilities to the fuselage (like the F-35 L2 can have 4-6 AA/AG in each missile bay that opens from the fuselage).
The Fullback (which was more multirole than the Russian Flanker and F-22, but not as multirole as the F-35 Lighting 2) and the russian flanker were both air superiority fighters, as they had very little (Fullback) or non-existant (flanker) ground attack capabilities.
In short:
Best Multirole: F-35 Lightning 2
Best Navy Aircraft: Joint Strike Fighter (Co designed with us brits)

Also its radarreflection isnt good so its a sitting duck. THe unstability and flybywire is of no problem with today computers and actuators. You have to risc something to get something in return. The software needs very good understanding of physics and mathematics conserning stering- regulating. Tey are after in those areas as long they dont hire people from abroad. I suppose one can see it that way. Practical experience has shown aircraft like the F-15, -16, and F/A-18 doing very well. Alot of that goes to training of course. But the tech has proven very good and with less downtime then recent problems with the MiG-29 and a lesser extent the Su-27. Honestly, I have alot of respect for Russian designs,...the downside being that not many see service (or in VERY limited numbers) and longevity and reliability problems do crop up.

Yes guys nobody is really coping anyone the forward swept design was thought of way back in the wright brother days nobody just built a working one until fly by wire was possible. @MorganKeyes Most small advantages of a forward-swept wing are nullified by penalties from it's build (weight). An old idea, it regained interest when Northrop long ago, 80'ies? - don't remember -, discovered that it also has less supersonic wave drag. Eventually a US testplane was built, X-29.
Forward-swept wing doesn't "inherently" result in instability. That's a free choice, like any wing. The wing does however need to be built in a special way, it need to twist as it bends.

This video shows me nothing about the plane, and tells nothing about it's specs, looking at how it flies, it looks to have better aerodynamics and a bit more versatile than the previous generations, but I didn't see anything incredible about it either.

@youwanttoliveforever Maybe the PAK-FA (as its a lot like the F-22 Raptor, which was discontinued in favour of the much better F-35) but the F-35 is a versatile multirole fighter that could probably shoot anything out of the sky, and, when fully armed, is comparable to a flying fortress.
Now i'm british, so dont think i am an american blowing my own horn, but i've got to give it to the americans, they have built a very good aircraft in the F-35

No not all aircraft are multirole. The F-22 raptor was called an air superiority fighter for a reason. Its only roles were electronic and Air-to-Air fighting as it had very limited ground attack capabilities, due to the lack of a bomb bay, lack of attachment capabilities to the fuselage (like the F-35 L2 can have 4-6 AA/AG in each missile bay that opens from the fuselage).

The Fullback (which was more multirole than the Russian Flanker and F-22, but not as multirole as the F-35 Lighting 2) and the russian flanker were both air superiority fighters, as they had very little (Fullback) or non-existant (flanker) ground attack capabilities.

Best Multirole: F-35 Lightning 2
Best Navy Aircraft: Joint Strike Fighter (Co designed with us brits)

IT IS ALLREADY OBSOLETE IN THAT ROLE. modern IADS (the only time the americans have gone against anything close to russian top tech at the time was in kosovo (which resulted in the downing of a steath aircraft) can pick up on the pacman signature of the f35

You guys only think it's copying because they are both jets and they both have forward swept wings. It's normal for a plane to have wings like that. There's a few dozen planes even before the X29 that had forward swept wings. It's a common design, you only think it's copying because you haven't seen any other forward swept aircraft other than the Su-47 and the X29. It's like saying Burger King is copying McDonalds because they are both fast food restaurants.

Only thing that might stop it getting very far is the fact russia has no money after the badly managed communism ended. But having said all that, they sell rockets to america you know. Some rockets for a long abaondoned project were hidden away in a hangar, and in the 1990s they were found. As it happened they were far more efficient than any other.

They have very good technicians and scientists. Worldsbest matematicians etc, but then the productionline take over the vodka seems to rule to much. For money spent I would without doubt have russian engineers instead of american ones. F-22 is laid down. _higher capacity in dogfight maneuvers
_higher range at subsonic speed
_improved stall resistance and anti-spin characteristics
_improved stability at high angles of attack
_a lower minimum flight speed
_a shorter take-off and landing distance
But it is inherently unstable and thus needs fly-by-wire control.

Also its radarreflection isnt good so its a sitting duck. THe unstability and flybywire is of no problem with today computers and actuators. You have to risc something to get something in return. The software needs very good understanding of physics and mathematics conserning stering- regulating. Tey are after in those areas as long they dont hire people from abroad. Usually americans can pay and get it some years after so the lazy fat american can get the best without having to achieve terrific in science. I suppose one can see it that way. Practical experience has shown aircraft like the F-15, -16, and F/A-18 doing very well. Alot of that goes to training of course. But the tech has proven very good and with less downtime then recent problems with the MiG-29 and a lesser extent the Su-27. Honestly, I have alot of respect for Russian designs,...the downside being that not many see service (or in VERY limited numbers) and longevity and reliability problems do crop up.

@MorganKeyes Most small advantages of a forward-swept wing are nullified by penalties from it's build (weight). An old idea, it regained interest when Northrop long ago, 80'ies? - don't remember -, discovered that it also has less supersonic wave drag. Eventually a US testplane was built, X-29.
Forward-swept wing doesn't "inherently" result in instability. That's a free choice, like any wing. The wing does however need to be built in a special way, it need to twist as it bends.
