  • that is so good i didnt know standing front tucks were possible

  • Cool ;O

  • for me:

    Put your arms out-got it

Swing your arms back and jump upwards-i think i got this

    Grab your knees real tight-this isn't so-NVM

glad i grabbed my knees, that way while i was there i could kiss my own butt goodbye X3

  • Boom

  • this is not how you standing front tuck. for a beginner, you will need to jump ALOT more than he did in the video and you need to use your arms, not swing them back.

  • @alaina5678 its th only way to standing front ;) how do you jump more when you do a standing frontflip, youre not allowed to jump.

  • Actually, landing on the toe is wrong. Land on the ball of your foot.

  • oh fuck... i'm not doing it like this..i'm doing it like normal front flip..just jump high and tuck :D and i land just like you..

  • one thing u did TERRIBLY WRONG, u can do this once u have it down but for the begginers, u don't start turning until the peak of ur jump, most idiots eat shit their first time because they jump forward from the begining

  • lol i just did my first standing front today at the park by my house, it was off like a 2 foot merry g round though, and i got the rotation by swinging my arms from my head staight down to my knees and tucked

  • omg i hav cushion and i still cant land crap

  • ok im gonna go try this right now i beat im gonna land on my butt lol as always

  • as a white person am i at a disadvantage?

  • @ErikJUTbe haha alright sounds good

  • @ErikJUTbe It is a properly preformed front tuck, just russian style.

  • @erikjutbe

this isn't a normal standing front tuck it's a russian different technique jus video title has russian omitted

  • i can do standing frontflips on concreit if i'd like to... but my friend can't cause he's doing the same common mistake just like Alex Sayhi (preforming in this vid) does... he doesnt jump off, he goes up to his toes, then try to bounce up... you aint supposed to do that ;e i can do them from my knees even, can't bounce off his knees. ARMS SHOULD BE STRAIGHT UP and as you JUMP you should throw them around as if you're painting a wall with brushes in each hand ;D

  • this is a horrible video. you r supposed to have your arms straight up and just when your about to jump push your arms up while throwing them forward/downward and then just tuck

  • @erikjkl Bro this is one of the best front tuck tutorials there are, You must be mistaken this is not a normal front tuck its a Russian Standin Front tuck, You use the arm swing as spinning momentum as you jump up , The technique is ment to be like that .

  • flawless -- he's great

  • your suppose to land up straight, and you cant learn it so fast it takes awhile and you need muscle.

  • Why can't I do this?

  • you make it look so easy!!!! lol ;)

  • that's amazing

  • How about i reach out with my ass cuz thats all ive landed on

  • barely made it...

  • how do you learn to get the height?

  • @bboysmyles do running front flips for a few hours, I guarantee you'll feel the burn for the next few days.

  • I think they are harder when you throw the arms backward like that.

I do them quite well when I throw forward, but it always feels awkward and less powerful throwing them backwards.

  • yeah i agree, i think it's easier to get good rotation if you swing them forwards

  • wat song is this ???

  • ninja shit!

  • damn thats cool! i can only front flip when i have some speed

  • damnn....I'm scared I'll do a face plant when I jump =S

  • That is so cool! I didn't think it was possible to do without running! That's very inspiring!

  • the first time i did it i fell on my butt. but the second time i landed on my feet but it was terrible. it hurt my knees and everything! i was hurting for a month!

  • This's not a regular front flip and yes i believe it the Japanese jap front flip.

  • its called a russian

  • *sighs*

im to wimp to do it...

  • I never felt comfortable throwing the arms backwards like that. I throw them forwards.

(Check out watch?v=bd4LJEFUGa0 if you want to see how I do it)

  • Isn't this the japanese variant?

  • one word. NINJA

  • thanks for the video bud! I am now one of the only two people at my gym who can do it.. :)

  • wats the name of this song?

  • urrrrrrrghhh!!!!!!!! they make it look so easy !! :D Hate that!

  • i always fall on my backk

  • me too but i got it now :)

  • I think this guy looks a little bit like Afro-Ninja :D

    peace

  • ill post my first attempt as a video response

  • NICE you must have very powerful legs man... now im motivated to train :D

  • i can only do that when jumping in 5ft. deep swimming pool.

  • i tried that but i cant land on my toes...i land on my ass

  • Make sure you keep your eyes straight ahead the whole time

  • @saiyan536 Try it on spring board first if you can to get the feel of it. First day trying them on a spring board I landed one after another after another, my legs got sore fast though.

  • Hmm.. That's not how I was taught but I guess it could work..

  • Musabji how do u do a FRONT TUCK throwin ur hands uo :S ur momentum will go back too! O_o u mean throw down.

  • no thats why its a russian. you throw your arms back and up around, like a reverse way you swing your hands to do a back flip. Throwing your arms up brings your shoulders up which also brings your whole body up

  • cooolll

  • you have a funny idea of standing

  • hehe i can do it better =D

but urs is clean, nice stick!

  • it seems easy to do on trampoline.

  • Epic.

  • Alex Sayhi rox!

  • thats not the best way to do a front tuck. best off starting with your hands up, but dont swing your arms back. Jump up and throw with your arms forwards before getting into your tuck shape. You will make it SO much easier!

  • the video is titles "STANDING front tuck tutorial"

and for standing fronts...swinging your arms back (russian) IS the best way to do it.

id like to see u do a perfect STANDING front throwing your arms up instead of back..

  • musabji, I don't know whether or not the Russian throw is the *best* way to do a standing front or not, but for me it's easier to do it with the arms up. I can do a STANDING front at least as well as the guy in this video throwing the arms up instead of back.

The Russian throw feels so unnatural to me and seems to be useless for anything except standing fronts.

  • yeah that's the same with me i can only do them with my arms up

  • thanks that just might work if it's coming from the best.

  • nice fro, wigger

  • You must of mistaken him for somebody who cares.

  • lol

  • how do i stop landing low ?

  • jump higher or tuck tighter

  • jump higher

  • that's a normal front flip...

  • It's not the same... when you do a frontflip you must run and to do the standing frontflip, you don't need it.

  • this is kinda shitty for a tutorial

  • yes i know it sucked.

  • Can anyone please tell me what the song is? Thank You!

  • shins splints?

  • Please tell me someone knows the song. Est-ce que vous connais le chante?

  • hmmm i want to say this is a russian front flip but idk....

  • it is... kinda

  • so smooth...

  • I'm 4'8 and 70 and i can do that

  • im 5 foot 7 150 lbs and i have maybe 30 or 40 percent body fat and im not fat but i have more muscle than fat and im affraid to try this on floor cuz i might crack my neck or hurt my back or something, any tips, im affraid to try this and i have no pool, or trampoline, i really want this move so i can add it to my bboyin routine thnx

  • Im 6 foot, 158 lbs, can grab the rim of the basketball hoop at school, and still can't do this move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol dude its strange cuz i have the same move in my bboy routine....try it on grass first....and the firsttime u try it get a fast powerful run up...take a hop land on both feet and jus throw the move....u most likely will get around and land in a squat....if u dnt youll jus land kinda on ur hips and hands but it wont hurt.....there is NO way to land on ur neck...espacially if ur a bboy.....

after u get it jus shorten ur run up and increse ur jump and u should get it....

    hope i helped..

  • Damn, I wish I had seen this before... my old private instructor taught us a completely different (and now that I see this... WACK) way. This way rules so much harder over my coach's old wack-arse way. lol

  • thanx man, for some reason iam having an easy time learning front flips and i just tryed one standing and i could do it, though iam havin a mental problem with my backflips

  • nice but i think tht is a jack front but still good:D

  • it is a jack front

  • wats the song on this please ??

  • Your hands should be higher than that, it almost looks as though you're about to do a back tuck.

  • yeah I agree on my standing fronts my hands go above and behind my head to get a better pull for the tuck and I land them straight so much sweeter than the landing in this video...

  • Yeah that is how it is supposed to be done, he's really just rotating and not getting that much air. I sense shin splits in the future for this guy with landings like that. He wouldn't be able to do a front tuck like that on concrete for very long.

  • Both flips have a risk of seriously injuring your neck if not performed properly. However, if you go up to about 90% of people who can backflip--gymnasts, freerunners, dancers, et cetera--they will probably tell you that they have landed on their neck at some point in their life. And of course, they've lived to tell the tale. Whilst backflips are scary as hell, the actual risk of injury is often exaggerated beyond belief. Just try it at a gym, or with spotters, or both, and build up. =]

  • yea thx!!

now i feel real comfortable trying these tricks!!!

  • i'm a gymnast and have landed on my neck twice doing backflips.. once outside on grass, and once in the gym falling from between 5 and 6ft up.. it hurts like hell, seriously, but you seem to recover fairly quickly.

  • wat the, how can you dare do a backflip on hard ground, with instead doing it first in a mattress, trampoline or something, thats very dumb you know.

  • when did i say i didn't do them on mats first? "i'm a gymnast" should imply that i go to a club.. they often have mats there.

  • whoo its nice of you replying a 2 month old comment. hope u dont still fall on your neck backflips are easy ounce u learn them on mat.

  • lol

  • i think, a back tuck is easier than a front flip!

  • are u sure about that?

  • SURE! But at the front tuck, you know where you jump! if you can a back tuck and you know thats easier!!

  • mmmm everybody says that but idk because if u try to do a back tuck maybe you could get hurted of your neck if is your first time i just want to know what's more easy to do because i want to do one

  • front tuck is harder physically then a back tuck. But a backtuck is harder mentally as your going backwards- which is much scarier then going forwards. I am just learning front flips and i land on my heels then land on mu ass- its frustrating.

  • and what's more easy to do? front tuck or a back tuck?

  • personally, i think back tucks are easier.

I have a hard time finding the ground eith my front tucks.

but back tucks are a bit scarier, having to go backwards.

  • but the back tucks are dangerous because if you dont know how to do one you'll get hurt your neck right?

  • Both have potential to hurt your neck tbh, neither is really more dangerous than the other, just scarier :)

  • do you know how to do one back tuck or a backhanspring?

  • i can do both.

and i can do front punches(front tucks)

and i think front stuff is harder cause its a blind landing

  • ok thank u

  • HAHAHAHA, this guy reminds of afro ninja

except this guy can actually do the flip

    PROPS!

  • yeah hahahahahah

    REPS

  • damn tht was a tight tuck....

  • thats a really cool technique, i might try this , even though i land them perfect with straight legs already

  • thats insane looking

  • that looks crazy ass hard

  • dude dats boss ill giv it a go!!ty!!

  • that looks crazy hard

  • teh i kno i tried and landed on my ass

    tehheh

    keep trying

once i tried it off a ledge and landed it on concrete

  • I have to axe kick to get a standing front. Throwing your arms back like that is very strange, I'll try it.

  • what is this song?

  • Song?

  • That flip was trippy as fuck

  • i can do it but different technique ill try that one at gym tonight

  • o can't even do this on da tramp :( cuz i have a knee injury and im too scared to land on it again, i just can't land!! :S does anybody have any advice for me? please? :(

  • yes yes yes !!! i can this :D :D

  • damnit i cnt seem to tuck my knees on ths move, would ths wrk if u tucked behind ur head?

  • =[ i cant do it lol its too hard and scary... i cant get height...

  • ahh! that really scared me lmao.

i don't do it like swinging your arms backwards.. :|!!!

  • is it any different from running into a front tuck? i always forget to let go of the tucking so i land on my butt ^^' any tips?

  • i don't know how your landing on your butt, cause holding to long generally makes you over rotate and land on your face, which you can trust me is also not fun

  • o that happened once... =/ not fun

i guess i meant im not getting enough height when i flip into one. any tips on how to do it?

  • i always feel like im gonna land on my head <:[

  • can not believe u have to quit tricking !

    makes me said bro ...

  • wow weird technique never seen anyone do it like tht....will try it next time lol

  • it kinda helped me out

  • im still freaked out by doing any kind of flips

  • that technique is crazy :O

    im gonna try it later

  • Yes actually, cause he just did, i can do it but i land still tucking, im still a kid so i dont think i get enough height.

  • wow, that looks so sick man

  • this is the russian ff!When you become pro at this version of ff you fuck the normal fronttuck in height and speed. and off course the good looking factor

  • I can do it but I do it differently than you do. I dont bring my arms back like that. I just jump up with my arms, throw them down towards the ground, tuck like a mother f.., and land. Idk I land my way like every time but I dont think I get as much air as you do it. But it works!

  • thanx.. i tried it yesterday in my gym, and a gymnast who is a lot better then me, looked at me, and begin to sreacm. :) i did it in a standing position, with incredible air. so 5 stars to you :)

  • LOL

  • tnx 4 da tip now i knw da real basic

  • Beautiful!

I could do that, but didn't get the hang of it, so I fell nasty on the ground...

  • i did it lmfao, well i aleady knew hwo to but good job you didnt even have a running start..i need a running start

  • someone tell me when u know how to untuck

  • not too convincing...nice try though...looks hard

  • ha thats cool

  • This front tuck is wrong!

  • post a video on how to do it right please.

  • the front tuck is NOT wrong! there two ways to it.... the metde he is jusing, is called "jap" tuck. i have only seen one man did a staning tuck, seaking forward. there was not a good height, but an indcredible fast movement. :)

  • SHIT I CRAPD MY PANTS

  • if you can do a forward roll with no hands can you do this already?

  • NO WAY!!

  • ew.. afros.. I WANNA SET THEM ON FIRE >=OOO

  • wow...looks really awesome.

  • normally you're suposed to set and that brings your flip up higher..but heck w/e works for you...

  • okay i have a question.... is this tricking and if it is , do you have to be like really strong to do this??

  • that was impressive thats a punch tuck frontflip as you arnt running in to it very difficlt to do i mean really hard

  • it is punch front not front tuck

  • ...no it's not.

  • good jobb. jump higher and open up sooner and u will land with strait legs instead of crooked. keep up the good work

  • Of course this is more difficult standing than a back tuck.

  • this is very hard. I can do a front tuck from a running start but not while standing still. Standing back tucks are easier.

  • That's a russian front... his isn't that good. Follow through backwards more with your arms, that's where you get lift.
