Worst phone I ever had.

Android is nice... but..

The battery (with zero phonecalls) lasts about 7-8 hours, which means that on my way back from work I am without battery...

(i've turned off gps, wifi etc... but to no avail...)

@lilpackerfreak Depends....... i would NEVER reccomend Motoblur skin to first time android users But something that is more userfriendly is at&t android phones that use HTC sense like the Aria or the inspire, and if sense isn't your thing then try Samsung touchwiz devices like the Captivate or a devie to come in the future Calles Samsing Infuse 4g

If your trying to stay on at&t then you would have to go back to(Motorola Flipside) Motoblur which is not condusive for first time android users while if you switch to other carriers like Sprint You could get the HTC Evo shift Which has sense( user inferface) UI and a full Qwerty keyboard or the samsung epic 4g which has Samsung touchwhiz and a qwerty board both of which devices have android 2.2 P.S. Hope this helped =)

This appears to  be a great phone for teenagers. It has a 720 mhz processor which is fairly speeedy, so it can handle motoblur. And it's stylish in a funky way. Im going to stick to my aria, I prefer sense- and I cant wait for froyo!

Motorola needs another DROID-like phone to stay relevant. They need a phone with: 1. Stock Android 2. 100% Backing from Google 3. Great Advertising from the carrier side 4. Minimum 1GHz processor 5. Minimum 512MB of RAM 6. Front facing camera 7. Possibly 4G (LTE or WiMax) 8. Software updates that come out quickly 9. Decent screen, WVGA resolution (SLCD, AMOLED, S-AMOLED, etc.) 10. Most importantly support from the android community. (support will come with adherence to the other steps)

this phone actually looks kinda cool. I bought the motorola charm which is alot like this one and i love it. the blackberry form factor combined with android is a huge win for me. the only things i could complain about would be the speed, the camera, and the screen resolution, but for the price and the size thats really just looking for something to complain about.

Hmm... I know Motorola are trying to innovate here but that design is worse in every way to a slider!

I remember when Moto nearly went down, luckily they pulled together and released some nice Android phones. Now they've gone back to their old, stupid ways; ugly designs that yield little or no advantage, and below par phones all together. Thank god they've still got the Droid 2, otherwise they'd have very little.

Aaron,great review. However, the phone doesn't do it for me. The screen size is a turn off. Plus, physical qwerty keyboards are inconvenient and slow when we have swype today. Again, good review, but phone is terrible, in humble opinion.

@ackersean2 it isnt a white light it is a sensor to see how close you are to the ohne so it knows to turn off the screen so you dont hit anything that is on screen. and i dont know why it stays on so long but yeah that is what it is and the iphone and many other phones have that just put one in front of a camera and watch the magic begin haha
