@viga1989 An uncercover cop. He has lead the gay guy to be in charge of the mafia but we do not learn whether he managed to trap the mobsters or not, because this is not the point of the movie. The point is -as i see it- the dead-end for the immigrants and the dead-end and "gutter" of criminal life. Actually, the end is incoclusive as regards the mobsters, because it is indicated that they crime is going to exist forever: this quite pessimistic but real too.

And Russians don't talk English with an accent to each other when they alone

Unfortunately things don't always work out like that in Russia. Their justice system is very different than the one in America....if that is where you are from. Great movie! And yes Viggo really was amazing. I read somewhere that he actually hung out with the real russian mafia before making this....he said he almost could see how people fall into that kind of life of crime. He is awesome.

I love this movie, gives a kind of realistic picture of Russian mobsters. For me it's a bit home feeling, I'm half way Russian. Beside the fantastic story the director collected handsome guys, I could accept both, Николай and Сойка (sorrowfully killed at the beginning) as my husband. :)) It's a 10/10 movie.

Beside the fantastic story the director collected handsome guys, I could accept both, Николай and Сойка (sorrowfully killed at the beginning) as my husband. :)) It's a 10/10 movie.

Which is when you slit someone's throat, and then , while the guy is still alive but dying, you rip their tongue down their throat and through the hole, it's actually a terrible but fascinating thing to see. Tattoos would tell you a lot about that individual, what prison he served, everything, that's of course if his a Vor. Another thing, its just a naked body you know that fool is not strapped. For one thing you forgot the yakuaza (japenese) and the IRA (irish). The second they all have some nasty things that make them stand out like the triad's death by a thousand cuts.
