@BLad813 Depends on where you play and who you play with. Tactics can be used effectively in either sport. I remember when I spent stupid amounts of money on gear for paintball. The good old days!

@BLad813 acctualy, it depends on what kind of paintaball you play. if you're playing in the woods, the only difference between paintball and airsoft is your equipment. the tactics stay the same.

Search operation pine plains if you watch it youll get some kind of idea what its like... but when you are in it you feel like you are trapped in a city and you are scared to get shot (fps limits are way higher)ive been there twice

this gets me almost every time man. guys dress up in cammo (which i can see be semi practical in game) and wear bullet proof vest for air soft. they love to make it feel as real as possible but then they get an m4 with a 150 round mag that fires full auto at like 20 rounds a second.

It's purely for choice. Sometimes up close you don't really need to be that steady to aim, so the grip is there for a quick way to grab hold and bring your weapon up as fast as possible. I have talk to some that use them in combat and they prefer them over just the standard hand guard because it doesn't put as much strain on the wrists.

Also if you have noticed they are grabbing just in front of the magazine weld, that helps to pull your rifle in closer for a steadier shot.

@Awkwardname I don't think you even know what these grips are for. Sure some people are holding on to there magazine which would not work on a real rifle but grips are mounted onto the guns so you can maneuver in rooms.
