uh, good question. i guess my teachers taught me the basics like reading notes and scales, but i choose the songs i play and the teacher tells me wut i need to work on and stuff. but when i like the song i usually play it everyday or most of the week by myself. find patterns and get the notes down first then work on rhythm.

when you have a piano teacher, they can get you into performances which builds confidence, cuz i still get nervous recording myself play.

yeh i k ow what u mean about the nerves, i played a simple song like to Zanarkand many times well, then tried to do it on camera and kept messing up, and culdnt play infront of people for about a year.
