  • A ship that should have gotten a show but never did...

  • "My God, that's a big ship."

  • Nice video but wasnt Hood an Excelsior mkII?

  • @navalwiz101 I'm pretty sure the Hood was an original Excelsior. I remember at least 1 episode of TNG where the Hood appeared with the Enterprise D, and it looked like an original Excelsior.

  • @jadetraveler o yeah now i remember and it was at the battle of chin'toka as an originial

  • oh wow... Did you use Star Trek Bridge Commander to get these shots? Very nice!

  • It'd be pretty cool if you made a "clip show" of sorts of the USS Hood's career; it's probably made the most appearances and references outside of the hero ships, and it's been in a lot of TNG and DS9, from Encounter at Farpoint to the Dominion War to Nemesis. Could you imagine if the E-E actually met up with her reinforcements? That Captain DeSoto...

  • @Cyke101 That's a great idea, now to find the time . . . :)

  • @VideoSpaceFX Hey, considering the quality of your work, take all the time you need :)

  • With all the Excelsior's and Miranda's that we see in TNG and DS9 especially, it follows that there must've been a major fleet refit program for these older ships. I've always wondered what an Excelsior/Miranda would look like with phaser strips. Would seem logical that they would have them if the ships were upgraded with new technology over the years. But meh, was just a thought.

Awesome vid. Nice to see the up to date Starfleet logo on the engineering hull. Good work. :)

  • @TheBlackSpider82 Though I appreciate that not all the Excelsior's/Miranda's would be late/early 23th/24th century ships. USS Charleston (NCC-42285), USS Valley Forge (NCC-43305) and USS ShirKahr (NCC-31905), USS Saratoga (NCC-31911) for example.

  • @KCCSD Thanks. Check out Enterprise-C Launch because I used it again.

  • That has to be the best mesh I have ever seen for Excelsior. Armor belt on secondary hull extends underneath the shuttle bay, except for that small detail it's spot on!

  • Wow. My mesh looks really nice. Good work and thanks for crediting me. :)

  • @WileyCoyote1701 Thanks, it is a great mesh. It will play the Melbourne and some other Excelsior-class ships in my Battle of Wolf 359 video coming soon.

  • @VideoSpaceFX Battle at Wolf 359 made by you!?!? Subscribed with no questions asked!!!

  • Was the music from Mass Effect? Sounded similar. The Hood looks good too :)

  • @Spideymun Thanks, yes its called Spectre Induction

  • @kahabschvergesse It's nearly done, I hope within a few weeks.
