I'm not sure about FIG judging rules, but with the USAG judging system you can be deducted for a tenth of a point for adjusting your leotard or hair.

yeah it is required for gymnasts to wear their hair back most of the time. She is awesome!

I imagine it would mess up your flight elements by creating a slight bit of resistance, and by getting in your face. Good for her to finish even with all of that going on! Elena Produnova once lost her scrunchie in the midde of a pass, but her elastic stayed in.

Hahahaha - amazing how she carried on with wild hair. She is amazing, what power tumbling. In gymnastics you've gotta be prepared to finish your routine no matter what happens! Thanks for sharing this video.
