  • So it days away from 2012. Were are we at with this deal? Are we ever going to get this deal in play? My 2012 new year's wish is that big brother would stay out of my life. Peace!

  • Marijuana IS a gateway! to happiness!

  • Californians vote YES on 19!

  • Couldn't be more proud of Nevada, we won the Golden Ace Award with our pot documentary in last year's Las Vegas International Film Festival. This is a major deal. Can you imagine being able to get a Hooka at the Casinos, game on!

  • Is it legal to brew their own beer? Then why not grow their own weed...........

  • Yeah that's what they always say> He is a DICK!!!! Anslinger started it, Nixon bolstered it, Ronnie and Nancy "gatewayed" and demonized it, and Bush Sr. classified it as a danger. The DICKS of the world will always ASSume cannbis users want all drugs legal. That man is a DICK.

  • It is the gateway drug to presidency.

  • that kid at the end said in the wrong hands it would be bad. I guess if big foot got a hold of some cannabis, got the munchies then starts raiding everyone's houses for food. Oh noz not that

  • Its amazing how this is literally the same exact issue as alcohol.

Full legalization may lead people to grow their own, but whats the big deal? I'd imagine the only people growing would be either connoisseurs( or people still exporting to other black markets); why invest a couple months of growing when you can just buy it?... just like alcohol.

  • and people may still buy from their dealers, but the regulated establishment will have competitive prices since their product is legally mass-produced while your dealer still has black market (expensive!) products.

  • that gateway excuse is as old as that old man DA... in that RARE situation its true thats because in the black market thats not the only thing for sale... the dealer will keep tellin you try this try this.... its the governments faust weed is a gateway. not the weed...

  • And just what worn out excuses for our situation here in Nevada, does Gammick. have, still?

  • "The majority of people that use marijuana go on to use other drugs like meth, heroin, and cocaine" You know why thats true? Its true because marijuana is illegal and unregulated. What is your drug dealer's goal? To make a profit selling anything he can. He sells marijuana to the same kid for a while, then he begins to push hard drugs on the kid to make more money. How does this Mr Gammick not see this? We need to regulate it, now. Take away the stigma and government propaganda to see the truth.

  • Its not true at all. Actually its about 1 in every 100 pot smokers move on to something more harmeful. not the majority and its not because of the plant its because of the dealers

  • It should be leagalized for all everywhere and untaxed!!! fuck the crooked police and poloticians who just want to line their pockets... Its a plant for all to use!

  • you have to be 21????!!!!! fuck that. i'm sticking to my dealer if they legalize in my state.

  • those of you that are complaining about the tax yea its a little high but think about it we are trying to persuade law makers to go with this and some ppl dont smoke cuz its illegal personally i work and make enough where i can pay it and i would much rather do it legally we have to sacrifice a little and we hav to give incentive to legalize and this is one of the major points ppl are considering so its wut we hav to do

  • i want weed to be legalized, i really do, but to tax an extra $50 on an ounce, thats like 25% taxation! im just not sure thats a good thing.

  • in the long run it is dude.. think about it it will help the econemy and if it works in nevada, imgaine what it will be like in a few years when its legal around the us. think about it our country would be better of if it was legalized and taxed. plus how much is an ounce normaly? i mean $50 plus tax may seem high but in reality its not

  • @XxXsnippyXxX i guess ur right, it is a good thing, and eventually the prices will drop once it starts being sold commercially...i can only hope anyways. an ounce is usually $200 or so, so 25% tax

  • yea thats a better way of thinking about it... check out my vid?

  • 50 for an o!!!!!

  • fuck me!, is this a joke?

  • dick gammick is crazy

  • dick g is an ass

  • The Gateway theory is indeed a myth. I started smoking 30 years ago, have never done harder drugs, and even quit drinking while I still choose to smoke! It is safer! Take that Mr. Asshole!

  • @DjSeVeReTwIst not a myth just a lie.

  • I think its shit, all these rednecks want to legalize to bail the country out of its economical ruin by over pricing & taxing, sounds like the wrong reason for legalization to me, also sounds alot like the reason a little party was held in Boston back in 1776. Taxation without represntation, since many users have been busted for cultivation, posession, or distribution & no longer have the right to vote, but thats ok, we'll have the right to smoke weed legally & pay out the ass as we do it. yeah!

  • @MrJeffsVideos Yes your gonna have to pay a 50 doller ounce tax but the fact that itll be legal will make it worth 100-150$ a ounce once the prices fluctuate to a normal price witch i believe will be around 5$ a gram 15$ a 1/8th also other people will be able to get lisences to grow so just like with mom and pop beers and liquirs that have very small distribution there will be cannabis growers growing small amounts itll be a good way for growers to get income stoners like many choices not one~

  • @MrJeffsVideos yeah whatever us "rednecks" dont want it taxed at all the only reason they use that model is the condition of our country where well all have to worry about what the feds and organisations think wich is bullshit our country was built upon the idea the the people rule everyone has a voice thats why the pro pot politicians have to bow down use an excuse like taxation to even present the idea

  • Not taxing it would be insanity. Marijuana brings in more than corn, wheat, and peas combined. It's by far our countries #1 cash crop. However if it were legalized nobody would tax you if you had your own plant for your own use. Keep in mind that supply would increase dramatically while demand would only go up a little if at all which will drive prices down.

  • Its not a myth, its a blunt lie.

Just as those monkeys that suppose to died from weed, while they where suffocated as they did not get air in there masks.

In Holland Christian politicians are trying to get weed as a hard drugs because of higher THC, but that only means u have to smoke(eat) a lot less to get high, thus lowering any health risk coming from smoking tabaco.

Politicians do there best to keep the illegal market alive, don't ask me why.

    There no myths only lies.

  • hi how are you?

  • Hahahaha that DA Is so dumb, that's like saying that everyone who drinks makes their own alcohal to avoid taxes

  • @luke26126 The DEA Think that once weed becomes legal everyone and their grandma is gonna go buy a thousand doller HPS system with intake outtake CO2 Nutes etc its just not gonna happen shure there will be some growers who have good setups who make the transition but to say that once its legal everyone will grow is a blatant lie lol.

shure i bet people will grow 10 plants in their backyard for shits and giggles but the quality of that bud will fall way short of the good bud thatll be produced.

  • To Dick Gammick and other defenders of the status quo:

Sorry, legalization is the knowledgeable and intelligent thing to do. Stand by for instructions on what to think and say next.

  • whats the point in growing something less potent when you can get it more potent

  • I LOVEEEEEEE how 98% of the people in office who are against marijuana are over the age of 60, see if people dont get it the main reason why its easier to legalize now is all the old senial retards are dieing finally and new brains are coming into the process of government, i hope the guy at the end of this video dies tomorrow, thank you for your time :)

  • what about Florida???

  • (2:43) thats the thing its no where near as easy to grow it yourself. most ppl wouldn't just like most ppl dont brew there own beer.

  • It's so unfair how if 1000 people agree on something, there is still 1 person who makes all the decisions on what we can and can't do. And if that one person decides to go against the other 100 people that rule the country, then they just get kicked out of their administration. It's all a puppet game, and it starts at whoever wants to move towards being the President, so they stick with the Presidents idea so they can also maybe become the President.

  • and if people were already growing when it bcomes legal, hell they would probably open up a legal farm so that the state or feds could collect taxes from them. There is packaging, transportation, and thousands and thousands of otehr merchandise related taht would sell like hot cakes.

  • um hello??

there was an ad for legalizing in CA(at least for medical use) and theres a women siiting and she says something along the lines of "we are marijuana users, and we WANT to pay taxes. blah blah blah"

and if i had any authority id be scratching my head thinking 'well why the hell would they actually want to be taxed, and if they do, then who not tax em huh?'

  • Gateway drug? Fucking bullshit. 85% of crack and heroin addicts say they started off as alcoholics. 90% of people who smoke weed say they've never touched any other illegal drugs. This Dick Gammick guy doesnt know what hes talking about.

Btw Alcohol and tobacco are both drugs...so is caffeine and chocolate.

  • You forgot to mention that all those that were addicted to any kind of substance like heroin, cocaine, metamphetamine etc. and actually got to quit they did so by using Cannabis, all the others went to detox, came out, did it again.

  • @H3Av3N2233 dude.... to much of anything is an addiction

  • True but there is a big difference between Phisical addiction and Psihical addiction.

  • chocolate?

  • Besides the fact that the vast majority never goes on to smoke meth or do other illicit drugs, not one stoner I know, and I know a shit ton, started with pot before booze and cigarettes, which are both 10x worse than a plant that actually increases the length of human life, marijuana. God's plant, his masterpiece!

  • Legalize it already!

  • This is the first step in many to legalize marijuana for the United States. I have been waiting for this day!

  • me too

  • if ppl grew marijuana before there gonna continue it wont quit. i bet its more of a hobby fer them. like anyone who is a gardener. i live in canada and the marijuana laws are gravy, there really good. i barely see anyone complain about it, fer the most part.

Unlike the states where MJ is unrightfully set and equaled to cocaine and heroine. They need to get over they're pussy little fears. Just lets go.

This is toward your gov. not the ppl

  • look up C-15 2 years for 5 plants Harper is evil

  • actually, not to call you out, i feel strongly on the subject and im in the US.

Over here, cannabis is a Schedule 1 drug, cocaine and meth are schedule 2 meaning that they HAVE POTENTIAL FOR SOME MEDICAL USAGE...but marijuana has none??

listen guys, this will never pass if its still a schedule 1 drug, change it to at LEAST a 2, maybe 3 and then we can address the real issue of regulating it.

  • @dontchokeonthesmoke uhh..... your half wrong..... the Schedule ratings are a Federal controll... From a FEDERAL level it would still be illigal, at a STATE level it would be legal. Obama has sworn to not enforce schedueling on weed tho. i agree, COCAIN is sched 2!!!!! as an opic anithetic??!

  • wat would people smoke when there plant was taking the 4-5 months to grow?

  • Funny... The dispensary shots are of Harborside in CA!

  • LOL Dick Gammick looks like a dick with ears LOL

  • i wish texas would hurry the fuck up and decriminalize marijuana.

  • Also... buying marijuana in the store is a hell of a lot more convenient than having to grow it yourself. Some people might grow it, but the majority would buy it in stores. Kinda like produce in a grocery store...

  • i totally agree with you. i mean, you dont see people who drink alcohol brewing their own. its the same concept

  • Alcohol is the friggin gateway drug...

  • Go Nevada! Lets hope Tx can smarten up soon aswell.

    -trev

  • Common sense, If marijuana *IS* a gateway drug, and the federal government numbers say that 40% of Americans have admitted to smoking marijuana, Do the math, 4 out of 10 people have not moved on to harder drugs. It is not an "excuse" of ours to make drugs legal, we have reasons to make this drug as legal as the legal drugs. Stand up!

  • gay gay gvay gay gay gay gay not gateway drug ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it being ilegle is faggot fucktard the fatass activist should go to hell

  • Hey, this gay, fudgepackin', faggot wants it legalized. Gay and faggot aren't terms that mean stupid or meaningless. I'm hoping this initiative went through. Although, it would be better if they make it legal to grow yourself so you don't get some crap that's tainted with chemical s*** like cigs are.

  • its funny how the government is treating marijuana as some DRUG that destroys lives... When it has done the exact opposite on my part haha

As bob marley said "WEED IS A PLANT MANG... WHY IT SO GOOD FOR EVERYTHING?"

peace and love to you all

    god bless

  • the law is wrong not the bong.... meth is death pot is not

  • how about figure this one out old fucks.. YOUR grandchildren have a drug problem because its easy for them to go to the bathroom and access drugs in your cabinet that blow cocaine out the water. thanks grandpa

  • marijuana is not the reason some jerkoff decided to hit up a crackpipe. those are dumbfucks. to begin with marijuana is in no way shape or form like crack, or meth... its totally opposites, in fact.. people who smoke the shit, simply dont like pot because it goes against everything the meth would be doing for them. so shut the fuck up. who do you know that smoked weed and hated life?

  • Well the only thing that comforts me is knowing these ignorant old fucks are going to be dying off soon. Progress is already being made(and they know it) The sooner they die off the faster we can get to work on repairing some of the damage this "War on drugs" has left on the american people.

  • There are no gateway drugs... only gateway people! Good luck Nevada!

  • I plan to quit smoking Pot on the day I die til then fuck off

  • BTW if you need more tax money look to your second set of books. GGL video

    "the biggest game in town"

    doc id 6703413885850200097#

  • They start with ALCOHOL you jerkoff. Marijuana is NOT A DRUG it is a herb, a plant and should be treated as such, like lettuce.

  • Yeah I doubt alot of people would grow their own if they could buy it at the store. How many people grow their own fruit and vegtables? Not to many cause it's easier to go to the store and buy it. No matter what you old Fucks think, Legalization is on it's way as soon as all of you die off.

  • That guy deserves his name

  • I don't see why they're so concerned about people growing marijuana to avoid taxes, it's not like they can't do that already and it's not like they don't.

  • Marijuana was so dangerous that I enjoyed a pink floyd laser show! That fucking 80 year old guy really knows what he is talking about! Marijuana is a gateway drug to chilling out and eating fucking fritos.

I guess I could say legalize it but then our private prisons wouldn't be profitable anymore and any good economist knows that locking up otherwise law obiding citizens is good for the economy so fucking I hold god responsible for making such an awesome plant.

  • @Ladiestreat dude. lol. i laughed so hard.

gateway drug to chilling out and eating fucking fritos. xD.

  • @Ladiestreat <3333333333

  • people look at the gateway issue backwards a lot by saying something like most cokeheads started on pot. well we aren't talking about cokeheads but weed smokers. and only 1 out of 104 marijuana users use coke

so maybe those people dick talked to started out on weed, but it's totally irrelevant because he's studying the wrong group of people.

  • I just moved to nevada...where can i go to support this measure?!

  • @LPBguy

The best way to find local support is to go straight to mpp dott org (sorry, youtubes anti spam crap forces me to write it like that), and select your state on the right hand section under "Get Local". From there you can find news local to your home state, as well as help on who in your government you can write to or call about marijuana reform.

Donations always help too. MPP does a lot of work all around the country and you'll get great literature in return from them.

  • LOL Americans.. grow their own pot? They can hardly cook a grilled cheese sandwich on their own. *sigh* old people.

  • Suck it Dick.

  • The idea that people would grow their own marijuana is false. The produce section at supermarkets exists because people do not plant their own food. The same rule would apply to the growing of cannabis. People do not want to spend the time perfectly cultivating the crop, they'd rather pay others to do it. If enough people grew their own weed, then the market would have spoken and there would be no more drug dealers. Instead the demand exists for pregrown weed, so the market supplies it.

  • The gateway drug theory has been proven false. Of course hard drug users first started out smoking weed, but they also first started out drinking milk. Causation does not equal correlation. Secondly the vast majority of those who smoked weed never did anything beyond that. For most people their experimentation ended with pot. If there was truly a caustic link, you'd find that more than 12% of the US population had done hard drugs since 100 million adults have smoked up.

  • DAMN STRAIGHT IT'S UP TO THE FUCKING VOTERS!!! We SHOULD be more powerful than our gov't, even the founding fathers held that belief.

  • OMGGG 50 bucks an ounce is a HEAVY tax? fuck growing it. i almost cried when i heard it was that cheap!

  • yeah the tax is 50 bucks but im sure taht a prime zip will be no more than 200

  • A dangerous gateway drug lolz.

I smoked cigs first, and beer, then weed. And guess what, it was fun...

  • I've been smoking ILLEGAL pot since 1968....isn't time I smoked a LEGAL bowl in my own living room????

  • i started with booze then moved to weed, and i LOVE weed, i dont even drink anymore, it just makes sense.

  • GOOD! Marijuana is much better for you.

  • its safer to smoke weed than drink

  • @what2talk not if you want to get a job ;]

  • @AssAlot89 I hate drinking.. i've been sober of all for 7 yrs but i would like to smoke pot exculsively if it was legal.

  • 2:14 He is right in the wrong hands "mexican drug cartels" its not a good idea. This promotes violence, funds other more serious crimes, brings more illegals over, and creates tons of other problems.

  • By the way I started with alcohol. After 3 DUI's and a broken hip im 32 by the way im finally trying to quit.

  • Thank God!! Hopefully New Jersey will follow suit.

  • The second i move from nevada all this starts happening, i wish i was their to help

  • 2:04-2:05 it's not a matter of agreement, it's a matter of facts and evidence.

fact: marijuana is NOT a gatwaydrug and there are tons of studies (evidence) that support this.

I don't know anyone who smokes pot who gets interested in meth or coke.

If marijuana is a gatewaydrug then breathing is a gatewaydrug, sugar is a gatewaydrug. And guess what, every hard drugaddict who claims to have smoken marijuana, had drunk alcohol way before that and tabacco and coffee.

  • 50 bucks an O hell yeah. its so fucking exspinsive in new jersey

  • @tim3Child

That's just the TAXES on an OZ.

  • lol jackass believing in the gateway theory

  • if it wasnt for this dam snow today .. id be smokin one right now haha.. and $50 for an ounce would be great!! .. Turn USA into pot dealers FTW.. gov fucked up anyway.. think about it .. people have been working and paying tax's like they always have.. so why is it all fucked up now? the gov dont know what the hell its doing.

  • Good luck Nevada !!! The rest of America is watching yas.

  • when are they going to vote on this? anybody?

  • 2012. too bad we are all gonna die right after they legalize it =p

  • ima just toke up whole you get ready to "die"

  • dont be a dick, Dick gammick!

  • Dick Gammick is a lying fuck, probably a coward and undoubtably a miserable human being.

  • Saw a sheriff riding in a big fancy Cadillac SUV with the words printed on the side "this vehicle was confiscated from a drug dealer" if selling drugs was this guys/girls only crime then the sheriff in my opinion is the only criminal here.

  • 50$ for an ounce, that is hella cheap FIFTY DOLLARS for a OUNCE!!! Why the fuck would you tax it so cheap when you can make more money just leaving the prices where they are. Current dispensary prices: ounce = 28 grams = $175-350 half ounce = 14 grams = $120-160 quarter ounce = 7 grams = $80 eighth ounce = 3.5 grams = $40 dub = 1.7 grams = $20 dime = 0.8 grams = $10 nickel = 0.4 grams = $5
  • @ic300x are you smoking crack? a $40 eighth? thats some shit, dude. even headies are like $20 an eighth here...

  • why complain man, we want it cheap as we can get it! :P

  • Comment removed

  • And $50 tax per ounce? So, it probably wouldn't be more then $100 total. I mean, the retailer gets half, the state gets the other half and you are still paying less for weed then you do on the street. That's not bad, but I wouldn't doubt that the retailers will try to hike up the prices.

  • There is nothing in pot that makes someone want to move on to harder and more dangerous drugs. You don't just go from zero to heroin with nothing in between. But to claim pot makes someone want heroin is crazy. If I wanted to, I could claim that milk is gateway to alcohol. It would be hard to find an alcoholic who never drank milk in their life just like finding a heroin junkie who never tried weed.

  • $50/oz is way too much tax, because it is far cheaper to buy it illegally!

  • @soicuw

    good luck finding

an OUNCE of weed for $50 or cheaper

    on the street

  • More propaganda. But at least it's being discussed. We need more people to actually THINK

  • we should have the freedom and right to do whatever we want with our bodies.

the government doesnt own my body, i do.

    legalize it.

end this corrupt war on drugs!

  • D.A. Gammick wants to keep marijuana illegal because putting someone in jail for smoking a joint makes him money, a lot of money, personally and directly. His funding doesn't come from issuing traffic tickets, it comes from government prohibition funds and the seizure of private property.

  • @keytoothed

    This guy is a jerk.

  • Too true. Its the same story worldwide.

The legal system has a stranglehold on freedoms throughout the world.

Check out information about Freemen worldwide. There is a way to combat the 'Law'.

    Peace

  • 21?!?!??! bu bu bu BULLSHIT

  • haha.. taint.. 1:30

  • Gammick your are an IDIOT!

  • legalize it.

dick gammick is just an old school prohibitionist that failed to notice that no one is listening to him propogate his dated, bullshit lies.

I like the other video when he commented on the seeds and everyone growing. made me laugh my ass off.

anyone who has grown, knows that it isn't easy and it isn't for everyone. alot of time is invested to grow and harvest quality bud.

I can brew beer in my house but it's easier to just go buy it. The same will be for marijuana.

  • this is so much bull shit its not bad ive smoked for 3 years and ive never done any other drugs..

  • Richard Gammick is such a fucking Dick.

  • Legalize it. Tax it. Regulate it.

    Let's do this already.

  • I'm willing to bet at least 99.9% of drug addicts take paracetamol before they move onto hard drugs.

So that makes it a more powerful gateway drug than marijuana going by what that bald fuck's logic.

  • i started taking oxycontin when I was 16 the reason I ever shot with it was because of a lack of cannabis and I had figured well dare lied about weed they were probably full of shit on oxy and such.

If it had been legal in the first place i'd have probably never even touched oxy or spent 16 months in a recover house.

When the dealers lie and the people giving out "information" on drugs lie then who are you supposed to believe anyways?

I'm not going to blame the state for my past battles

  • continued

but I'll sure stand up and say that them pushing bullshit was a contributing factor in it all.

and if anybody cares to know I wanted to smoke weed the first time because I couldn't get alcohol and knew people who smoked and were fine.

  • continued

Cannabis wasn't a gateway drug for me, It happened that oxy was offered and I was misinformed so I took the offer and discovered a different drug I liked which led to problems with addiction, who doesn't like not having a care in the fucking world I sure did.

Bad choice, now if I hadn't been lied to and given bullshit info, or if it wasn't on the street but in stores would I have ever been introduced to hard drugs?

  • Exactly. The legal and prescription drugs are some of the most dangerous ones out there.

Tobacco accounts for over 80,000 deaths a year in the UK. Alcohol kills between 5,000 and 10,000 ALL illegal drugs COMBINED kill well under 2,000 a year.....

Yet the 2 most dangerous drugs are legal, and considered completely acceptable in our culture, whilst Cannabis, that has NEVER killed anyone, is illegal?

What the fuck is wrong with this country? I think the Spanish have the best drug laws.

  • Notice how marijuana is always the gateway drug when in reality it's alcohol. But hey, don't mess with Gammick's cocktail hour.

  • Well if they could just grow it themselves what's stopping them now?

  • we need dispenceries in alaska, what do you have to do to make that happen??

  • It's a shame it's all come down to money.

What about the 800,000 people in prison right now for non-violent drug offences?

What about the people who have died from prescription drugs or being denied their medicine because they had no alternative?

What about the God given right for an adult to put into their own body what they choose?

What about greatly reducing the access to children?

What about ending the main source of income for gangs and cartels?

    LEGALIZE, TAX, REGULATE!

  • Legalizeee It Dont Criticize it ..!!

  • Fuck Dick Gammick. Just because his name is dick doesn't mean he has to be one.

  • Fuck you Dick Gammick... you DON'T GET TO FUCKING CHOSE HOW WE USE OUR LIBERTY YOU FUCKING TYRANT!!!! Sic Semper Tyranis!!!

  • FREE MARC EMERY !!!

  • Comment removed

  • dick gammik..... is a dick!!

  • The only reason the nazi pig politicians are against it is because their departments make a lot more money from prohibition.

  • ct need weed weed

  • the tax should be 100-150$ pr oz.

  • but it should not be illegal to begin with..

  • They said an oz would cost $50 and that's with the tax.

Who would want to spend time and money to grow besides the hobbyists that are around anyway if they could buy fire zips for $50 bucks?

  • What 50$ pr OZ it's fucking cheap..

  • that's only the taxes....

  • @Johansen1000 $50.00 dollars TAX per ounce.

  • 1 OZ will cost you 300-400$ in EU, legally or illegally.. only those countries there has tax on cannabis get's something out of it.. otherwise all the other countries ho dont tax ti, only has the black market.. no taxs no money to the country or state..As simple as that..

  • the guy quoting the gateway theory is named Dick. All i have to say.

  • Right on ! doughboy

  • $50 an 'O' TAX? Jebus.

We still have these drug war dinasours quoting the propaganda from the 'good ole days'. Gateway drug my ass! I have enjoyed canabis for over a decade and the only other drugs I will ever enjoy are alcohol and caffine.

  • last time lost just by 54% vs 46% i think. This time passes for sure .

  • voters need to make it happen, one state does it the rest open they eyes

  • WE NEED CHANGE IN IOWA !

  • HELL YEAH!
