Haha, Sephiroth is a pussy in this game compared to how fucking hard he is in KH2. That fight took me until I got the ultima weapons for everyone and to lvl 90 to beat him on the professional setting. That's with max lvl drives and everything. He's an ass lol

lmao, yeah no kidding, I rember all I needed for sephi was a shit loada elixers. n then I was looking at walkthroughs to see how they did it n I see loads of stuff like "all you have to do is by lvl 80 and then etc" I rember just being in shock "AND THEN?! jesus!! if your at lvl 80 it should just say "and then dominate him" I think I did it at like below lvl 40 or something but kh2 sephiroth is so much harder. since after every attack almost your almost dead (and that's not even on expert)

Yeah, then he would get that "Flame Pillars" after he took so much damage that would suck you into it and deal what I would say is Demi 3 damage lol. Then it hit multiple, but it was worth it for the Fenrir keyblade. It also made me crack up when Cloud had to describe Sephiroth the Sora, I was like, "DOOD! YOU KICKED HIS ASS BEFORE HOW DO YOU NOT REMEMBER?!?!? HE WAS THE DICK THAT HIT YOU FROM HALF THE BATTLE FIELD AWAY!!!" lol

It's not really hard to max out on KH2 even on Proud mode. The lvl trick on top of Pride Rock makes fighting Sephiroth waaay easier. I still have a harder time with KH1 Sephiroth than KH2's.

but that was in the good old day, evil tainted his power. once he gets all good again, he gets super powerful again. same as Advent children, when he was all emo, he was weak, the moment he decided to pick himself up and fight back, he got his old power back and went toe to toe with sephiroth

Alright this is my bit of useful advice and its alot more useful than most of the other comments (no offense).

Learn to knock back attacks. You can knock back almost every projectile in this game. It also give extra exp.

Also, if you get the chance to play KH2, you will notice the BIG difference between how helpful Donald and Goofy are in Kh1 and KH2 >_>

Ah..I haven't played KH in a while! Just a tip: whenever you get the chance to fight the spector in the Big Ben area of Neverland (later on in the game), use the appropriate element when he shines its color :P

There is a way you can become overleveled at the beginning of the game on Destiny Islands. I was at level 12 and fought cloud at level 16 at the beginning. It has something to do with wakka and his fight on Destiny Islands.

If you want some advice, don't worry so much about keeping Goofy & Donald/ guest characters alive later on in the game as they quickly lose most of their effectiveness in battle (i.e. using all their MP in less than a minute, just getting in the way). Besides the only thing you'll really want Donald to do is heal you, & once Goofy gets the appropriate ability, restore your MP.

I find that once Don and Goofy have a larger supply of MP to use, they're more effecitve partners. Then again, I'm going based off Normal mode, I've heard they're frigin' retarted in Expert mode. But NinjaCaboose brings up an excellent point here, don't worry about keeping your allies alive, if for the sole reason that they will automatically revive after a bit of time, especially with the Second Wind ability equipped. It's more prudent to worry about yourself.

yeah good poitn I do remember Donald reviving after a bit of time, k ill stick to healign myself. I am havign trouble though with being now overnumbered by the enemy I cant get a cure spell off fast enough.

Then use what NinjaCaboose suggests below and set your shortcuts. I recommend shortcutting Cure, Aero, and Fire. The fourth shortcut is yours to fill as you see fit.

Whoops. Been awhile since I played the game, I just now realized there's only three shortcuts. Well, Cure and Aero are musts, and the third should be switched out depending on the situation (usually Fire though).
