Buy some soft corn tortillas, warm one by one direct on fire if you have a gas stove, just for a moment to soften. Put a spoonful of spicy ready made meat in the middle, fold and fry in a pan, turning it once. remove and drain, crack and fill with lettuce and cheese, tapatio. Eat :)!

any tortilla that is hard and crisp is and is round or even in a shell shape is a tostada. any taco that is rolled up and deep fried with the meat inside is a taquito

those are tostada in this video.

soft tacos is a redundant term because all tacos are made with a tortilla that folds over. in mexico or even in the united states in real mexican restaurants there is no such thing as a soft taco or hard taco on a menu.

if you guys want to make real tacos, you only have to gild your favorite type of meat in a fry pan, and when it's almost finished, slice it und put again in the for a few seconds. put the meat in the center of a tortilla. you have chop fresh parsley and onion, put the a few choped parsely and onion on the meat and a few drops of lemonjuice and salt.... i hope it could help. sorry for my bad english xD i must study harder :P goodbye from mexico city ;)

Those are American tacos. Here in NYC, there is a big Mexican population and we have the real thing. Though I love American tacos, nothing beats an authentic Mexican taco. American tacos are a pain in the ass to eat because the shell breaks when you bite into it. Mexican tacos have a soft corn tortilla without a lot of ingredients. Choice of spicy meat, onions and cilantro and your good to go. Although they do tend to throw on too much cilantro for my taste.
