@vanhalenmk they broke the sound barrier twice that day if you check out my other videos. Im pretty sure its not that hard for the military to get clearance to do so.
@mrsjammin This was the Harry S Truman Family day. The only time I have seen it done is the family day cruises on the Truman. When I was little they broke it at Seymour Johnson AFB

It actually is impossible over land, but can be requested for Family day (if the carrier is far enough out to sea) and for Tiger Cruise.
