Hard Trance was at its high popularity in the early 2000's when raves where at there golden age, the two generes are very different from there sound and nature. Hard Trance Trance/Physcedelic trance are very different in nature, in this day and time Hard Trance is declining along with rave culture, but is bring a uprising of chill out trance. Hope this eased of your understanding .
