ive had this phone for a year now it sucks balls. The touchscrean is unrespondive and the music quality with headphones sucks. No bass no nothing and the volume is very low. I hate this phone

Android is the one I normally use. It is the best one I think. Its nice because you can customize the screen with the buttons you want.

In general, yes, you do. You need it to put any of the themes on.

I have no idea. And to The Twitterbug, with the 920, there is another program that you need to use before you will be able to actually get into the main phone memory with Bitpim. Can't remember what its called though.

In the themes section on the sight there is a sticky with a bunch of the available themes listed.  It'll give you a link on where to download the stuff for Android.
