I've never heard this novelty song before!, ..Alley Oop. Purple People Eater, Yellow Polka Dot Biklini & Abduls Party were played here locally on our radio stations(Vancouver Cda) back in the Dooop era. Even Kookie Kookie & Beep Beep were played & known to me but not this one 'Mr. Spaceman". Mr. Spaceman was of coarse a hit made famous by The Byrds in 1966/67. Thx4 postin'
Jesse Lee is a very good friend of mind and is doing well. He lives in Lufkin, TX, and believe me when I tell you he can still rock! I have to say, though, that Jesse still thinks this song hurt his career. When it sold 1M+ copies his agent had him do more & more "gimmick" songs and less & less rock-n-roll, which was his true love.

Another reason why I loved 1959. I heard this in 1959. (I guess I am giving away my age, but I won't tell, LOL).
