This, on top of a renewal ceremony about honesty, makes her look like a hypocrite and Rafe a fool. Will thinks very fondly of Rafe, and therefore, is upset with his mother for treating him this way, and blinding herself to the fact that others were just as upset over Johnny's supposed death.
@mattnumber13 True. I haven't read any Will slashfic, but Luke/Reid slash kept me sane when ATWT ended. It's sad that most of those writers displayed more talent than I've ever seen from a soap writer.

And the ending was such wishy washy sap. I hate to ruin it for those just getting into it now but, I really want to tell them not to waste their time. The two leads had more going on off camera (in the way of chemistry and fun) than their characters ever did on screen. A HUGELY disappointing ending!!!!!
@winsboy I was vaguely aware of the Luke/Noah story before, but I only started paying real attn to ATWT after Reid came on. It was a promising storyline in the beginning, but they messed it up early on. I thought L/N were boring. Luke was a trainwreck and I couldn't understand what Reid saw in him, but it could've been an interesting pairing. I didn't even bother watching for the last month after I found out what they were going to do to Reid.
@mattnumber13 Do you really? I'm not sure the writers would go there, but I'd love it if they did. They could have a tearful scene where Rafe has to "let Will down easy."

I'm not sure what Gabi had to do w/screwing Will up. She just tried to make sense of a relationship that wasn't functional. Sammi repeated her mother's history, which makes me think despite his protestations, Will is going to follow suit.
So, suddenly WIll has been having those feelings? Really!? When did that start? It never transpired in the last weeks of storyline. Some say Will and Sonny have no chemistry, that's not my opinion, but Will had no weird/stupid/intense/odd/surprised reaction when finding out about Sonny being gay. Everything to him was normal about the fact. Never did you see him look at Sonny and wonder about his own situation and now they want to make us belive he had those feelings for a while? I know he'll..
be coming out at some point, but I wish they would have shown us Will wondering about it all in the past weeks Instead of that stupid website storyline where all actors where bored out of their mind and we too, thy should have shown some of Will's turmoil. When Marlena returned tho, she referenced letters Will had written her & she's pretty steadily worked to get him to open up about what, exactly, he met. I'm wondering also, if Lucas had said something, at some point that made him feel like it wasn't OK for HIM, even if it was OK for Sonny?

And not be accusatory when you're communicating. Also: breaking up with Will after he through trauma wasn't very loving. I'm not saying that Will was completely without fault, but neither was Gabi. It's hard to keep up with this rapidly developing storyline. It's zipping right along at the speed of molasses in the wintertime on Pluto! His conversation with his grandmother (who is mysteriously the same age as he is) begins the coming out process. The actor said they were going to develop his storyline slowly. Slowly? With the breakneck speed at which we see plot developments, the minutes are flying by like centuries. We'll be lucky if he comes out sometime during 2015. Oh, the excitement!

I can understand why Will hasn’t told anyone about his mother’s infidelity, he doesn’t want anyone to get hurt over it, his brothers & sisters as well as Rafe. Will is trying to keep up the illusion of a happy home life that he didn’t have while growing up.
I’m also really enjoying the shift in Will’s character. I love that smirking expression (it always makes me smile) on his face 6:05 when Sami & Marlena are together considering the history.
really great acting by Will, you could see and hear the cynicism fueled by his 'secret.' It's really eating him inside to hold all these burdens of consciousness.
If any of you have seen gute Zeiten schlechte Zeiten or Emmerdale, you'll know, that if done right, this type of story can get really intense! I hope the writers dedicate enough time and energy to Will's character and even with the limited budget of a daytime US soap, can tell his coming-out story with thought and artistry. I was somewhat disappointed in Will's scenes today. I thought he would have been more than agressive towards Sammi than he actually was. I guess the writer's didn't think he should go totally bat-shit crazee on her being that it was the last episode of the week just before Christmas! lol...

When Marlena returned tho, she referenced letters Will had written her & she's pretty steadily worked to get him to open up about what, exactly, he met. I'm wondering also, if Lucas had said something, at some point that made him feel like it wasn't OK for HIM, even if it was OK for Sonny?

And not be accusatory when you're communicating. Also: breaking up with Will after he through trauma wasn't very loving. I'm not saying that Will was completely without fault, but neither was Gabi. It's hard to keep up with this rapidly developing storyline. It's zipping right along at the speed of molasses in the wintertime on Pluto! His conversation with his grandmother (who is mysteriously the same age as he is) begins the coming out process. The actor said they were going to develop his storyline slowly. Slowly? With the breakneck speed at which we see plot developments, the minutes are flying by like centuries. We'll be lucky if he comes out sometime during 2015. Oh, the excitement!

I can understand why Will hasn’t told anyone about his mother’s infidelity, he doesn’t want anyone to get hurt over it, his brothers & sisters as well as Rafe. Will is trying to keep up the illusion of a happy home life that he didn’t have while growing up.
I’m also really enjoying the shift in Will’s character. I love that smirking expression (it always makes me smile) on his face 6:05 when Sami & Marlena are together considering the history.

If any of you have seen gute Zeiten schlechte Zeiten or Emmerdale, you'll know, that if done right, this type of story can get really intense! I hope the writers dedicate enough time and energy to Will's character and even with the limited budget of a daytime US soap, can tell his coming-out story with thought and artistry.
