But after that, the enabling act ended the Weimar Constitution, so politically, the Reichstag (parliament) had no power, therefore the system of democratic opposition was ended. But opposition was not exactly eliminated. It is very hard to eliminate resistance. There were social groups who opposed Nazis in Germany. Like the catholic church and communist groups.
