Florida Senator: Change Voting System Now

I have two ideas on voting that need applied NOW.

1) Ballots mailed to the voters home/po box. We pay enough for a dumb census-use that info to get votes via mail/e-mail.

2) NO SECOND..THIRD..or 10TH term in office. Get new people in constantly.

Way to go Bill Nelson! I'll never understand why is an attempt to improve a flawed system met with such resistance? Scrap the Electoral College and make sure all voting machines have a paper receipt so voters can verify their vote and deposit it into a lock box if a recount is needed.

A Representative Democracy??

Hey Billy Boy...we don't have a democracy. We have a republic. A democracy is three wolves and one sheep voting on where to eat lunch. 3 against 1 and the sheep becomes lunch. We have a republic where the rule of law prevails.

This putz hasn't got a clue about the US Constitution. The Electoral College is how the president is chosen, not by the popular vote. This was put in place by our forefathers to prevent voter fraud and to give the less populous states an equal vote with the more populous ones. How many dead people voted for Gore in 2000 via absentee ballot? Gore wanted the military absentee ballots thrown out, but not the dead peoples ballots.

Leave it alone DemocRATs, the system works just fine.

Yes and that's the DemocRAT plan. The Dumb Masses deciding who get to be President. Them and the illegal aliens voting. And then there are the foreign nationals voting. Next the Chinese voting via the internet.

There is NO Right to vote for President. When you cast your vote for President you are actually voting for a slate of electors who are pledged to vote for a particular candidate. The Electoral College decides the next President based on the number of electoral votes they get.
