  • what size is that motor? how many cc's ???

  • pepboys does everything for less

  • this is 50cc ?

  • Amazing bike dude. Can not be street legal with no pedals. Bike Pittsburgh got old bikes for sale for you choppers.

  • Drive it danmit!!!

  • Its not a 10 speed any more. I was looking for videos of people riding motorized bicycles with a 10 speed type bike.

  • Junk my ass, son. That's hella dope!

  • Exhaust pipe, ciercular saw, and a good eye!

  • What's the secret to attaching that sprocket to the crank and keeping it true? I know you could use a freewheel crank and retain the pedals but you chose the simpler way.

  • damn it must fly with that monster engine lol

  • Ya so i defiantly got a 5.5hp honda motor on a MAGNA mountain bike... and i got the same setup wondering if i can run with deralers

  • speed???/

  • I'm very curious how well the bike chain stays on when changing gears. It's hard to see close up in the video, but did you just weld angle iron on top of the stub of what's left of the seat tube you cut off?

  • The bike chain sometimes flies off because the engine produces so much torque. It is setup to where you cannot change gears because the deralers would literally just fly apart. And yes we did just weld the angle iron to the top of the stub of what is left of the seat tube.

  • @jmc6000 I always wanted to do something like this, but didnt have the tools or any sproket to match up.

  • May I ask what size sprocket you added to the crank? It looks like a 72 tooth. And is there an easy way to attach it to the crank and get it centered correctly? I'd love it if you could send me some closeup pics of your engine mount and the sprocket/crank. Thanks.

  • The size of the sprocket if i remeber correctly is 10 inches, unsure about how many teeth. We used a some exhaust pipe and welded one side to the sprocket and the other side to the crank.

  • how did you get the motor mounted on to the frame?

  • The center bar right above the seat was cut out to make room for the motor.

  • Okay now i see. But did you make custom mounts to the frame ?

  • Yes, we used angle iron and welded it to the rest of the frame.

  • Cool bike. Are you still able to use the derailleurs like normal? Are those higher speeds rough on the regular bike chain and does the chain fly off easily on the right side? Regular bikes aren't designed for this much power, but if that stuff will hold up, it's great.

  • Some of the Honda clones are ok but the ultimate motor of that type would be a Robin Subaru. Best motor made.

  • I have to agree with ya there. That Robin Subaru is one awesome small engine and I do believe it is better than a true Honda.

  • Too bad you took the vid in such bright sunlight and too bad the bike doesn't actually run and too bad there are no closeups of the drive. Good idea though.

  • Try checking out my other vids of the bike acually running and moving at speeds close to 45mph.

  • nice

  • haha i have one of the 5.5 clones thati bought from pep boys on my go kart

  • Make sure you check out other vids of the bike and you can be able to hear what that engine sounds like with no muffler!

  • I was thinking of something like that to my bike, Great Idea!!!!
