For me, they're both a part of my childhood. I've watched Pokemon more than Digimon, but they are both very beloved series with memories to me. I don't see why people have to compare them, they are both amazing!

My country's dub (Portugal) is often mocked because of the unemotive voice acting, but we translated it from the original Japanese and we keep the original soundtrack which is WAY better than the American. I usually watch Digimon online, but I can only find the English dub. It's ok, but I can't stand when someone digivolves and I have to here "Digimon, Digimon Masters" DX

People keep comparing Pokémon and Digimon but they have nothing in common aside that both have monsters in it. Digimon had a much deeper plot, the characters had real lifes with real problems (divorce and adoption just to name a few), not just some kid that does not grow old and does not have to go to school and has an unlimited credit card to travel the world.

Those people would really go "O_O" in amazement if they were to try out the series themselves. The only interesting new characters were Ken and Cody, there were was too many ideas going on at once, and very few of these many ideas actually go anywhere. I could go on and on. And plus Tamers is really good, possibly better than Adventure. Frontier and Savers/Data Squad are debatable, but I liked them both. 02 was the only one I hated.
