  • Very nice.

  • @ia1lieutenant Indeed it is!

#jazzm

  • man you dislike this then you have no soul, period

  • I BROUGHT THIS ALBUM 1979 BLEW ME AWAY......................STILL DOES KEEP THE FAITH..........REMINDS ME OF SIPPING COCKTAILS ON A WHITE SANDY BEACH.............AAAAAHHHHHH

  • The beautiful thing that I have found with the music of the mid to late 70's and early 80's is how original the artist regardless of color were, pieces as this are classics, this could be Lonnie Liston Smith, Roy Ayers or any Jazz musican, but this group is from Brazil and you hear in it, funk, jazz, soul and by the way this beat has been used numerous times in rap songs, but nothing sounds better than the original and YOU KNOW THIS MAN!!!!

  • correct me if i'm wrong, but that sounds like the beginning of Just-Ice's "Latoya" at 1:03....possible sample? i know i've heard that last noise on an MF Doom song, but he sampled the beginning of the Just-Ice song.

  • @jameshalterman Nah, that sound was beatboxed by DMX. He was mimicking the drum machine pops.

  • Again, I repeat the best ever to come out of Brazil. I can listen over and over to their tunes, and always find something new. I never tire of listening to Azymuth.

  • @sewitt60 We ignorant Americans took this for a 'new' sound when Syro Gyra's first hit came out in 1979. Through youtube, I learned Brasil's been making this music since 1965! Ever consider that Tony Hatch used Brasilian Bossa Nova in most of Pet Clark's songs to catapult them to the top of the pops? Bossa ruled Northern Hemisphere charts for nearly 30 years. Yet even your new BBC4 documentary 'The Joy of Easy Listening' has not one word to say about bossa's influence! Come visit my channel! chk

  • @sewitt60 What about Deodato?

  • viva Brasil!!

  • A brilliant toon for testing audio equipment best played LOUD

  • Music is nice but the sound of the keyboard 1:10 is a downer

  • back when music was music no lady gaga crap.

  • You know when the music is so good when it doesn't need any words to make it more beautiful.

  • だけど、やっぱりMuy bien(スペイン語ですね…)

  • @shihobo

O título do programa era "Cross Over Eleven."

    (Foi radiodifundido de 23:15)

O programa foi radiodifundido de 1978 para 2001.

  • Crema della Crema, Cream of Cream, Bon Voyage

  • Oh! Jazzeh :D

    SWSJ-MrSmooth

  • so smooth...

  • Good ... sounds great.

  • Azymuth 1979 - Vole sobre el Horizonte -

  • Wow, no surprise being linked here from a Passport song, although Passport was definitely crazier than Azymuth.

  • thats a groovy ass note. im diggin it

  • loverly

  • This is fucking boss. I love Azymuth's work.

  • Great to hear these guys again after over 20 years!. I prefer this version of Fly oveer the Horizon than the one with 'voices' Maybe it's just more familiar. The funky bass is so 80's & cool. A masterpiece of cool Jazz/Bossa Nova.

    Nice one!

  • Very beautiful music! Space music. +5 stars!

  • Azymuth 1979 . . . Ligero como una pluma . . .

  • Love Bertrami's keys!! Classic album!!

  • Twenty years later i still prefer this B side to the Jazz Carnival A side......thanks!!

  • good brazilian smooth of Conte, Bertrami & Malheiros ******
