  • i don't like road to legend cause its expands about 200hours the game!

  • The makers of this game have really tapped into the collectors love of models and counters n' stuff. Also GW don't do a dungeon crawl game like they used to. This looks 3 times as good as the old Warhammer Quest I used to love. I'm gonna buy this wacky shit.

  • Do you need bigger table to play this game than for playing Doom?

  • Good review, covering a not so easy to review game. Thank you.

  • do a shot every time this dude says "ummm"

  • @bestdanggames can you please tell me where you bought your container system?

  • Shouldnt those pieces the ones that make up the doors and stuff be made up of plastic?

  • lolz every 3 secs he says "um" "ah" "oh" XD

  • lolz!!! i bet you $300 dollars that that guy likes to plays as the dark master XD

  • i really wish other kids my age in my area where interested in this kind of stuff...

  • Looks cool wish there was a group that played in Central Conn.

  • oh and this is just a bad copy of doom the board game and runebound

  • 6:45 it says she can have 5 stamina but she has 6

  • it seems a fun part is that the overlord is a player as well and not just a game master

  • Thanks for the review I just might have to pick this up at some point. Though right now my friends and I are going through HeroQuest.

  • superb sir

  • Hearts represent the number of hit point damage dealt, and the total of numbers on the dice are the range. Armor is subtracted from total damage before applied to hit point losses. Black dice further alter the roll by giving you extra range, damage or 'Surges' (used in combination with powers from characters or items to further augment range and damage). Finally, an X on any dice rolled means a miss. Hope that helps!

  • The easiest way to sum it up would be that damage comes straight through dice rolls. Each character card (the characters abilities) & item card has the color dice (and the number of dice to roll), so the combination will determine what total damage is dealt. Higher power dice (Red and Blue Primarily) mean more damage on a hit, but less range. Lower damage dice (Yellow and White) will give more range for ranged fighters and casters. Green dice are middle of the road for range and total damage

  • really really good review. thx mate!

  • Why don't people just play AD&D then? Besides the fact you have to buy like 40+ books..

  • ok im confused about dealing damage

when a hero attacks a threat.....does the monster respond back with damage too? like magic

or does the attacking figure only get to deal and resolve damage to the target?

  • Wow, I imagine breaking down this incredibly complex game into such a concise review couldn't have been easy! You nailed it though.

  • @SlimTwisted Its not complicated at all lol.

  • Thank you for the review. That was a super good overview of how the game works :)

  • Do the players keep gold and items like from Hero Quest?

  • General badness to happen lol

  • When I got this game. The shop keeper and a few of the gamers said "That game totally unbalanced the Overlord always win"

comment back or vote if you agree it is or not

I hope it's not after all I bought it

  • @BrokenSplinter That's what's awesome about this game. You shouldn't take the game rules as rules. More like guidelines (yay POTC). You can bend the rules so that the heroes or the overlord is in the advantage. So you can make it as balanced as you want it i believe. Feel free to ask me how after you played it ;)

  • think I understand the rules okay but heres the problem when you start the dungon Spawn, spawn, spawn, spawn. lol

I just feel down mean doing it when im the overlord, later on it's tiped a bit the other way. when hero get greater loot, and one shot kills start to occur more. But then I get more creative after that happens.

Dungon 2 Hero quest item inside the chest, I turn the chest into a monster and it runs away lol

  • @BrokenSplinter yeah it takes a few games until you can manage to make it balanced. I love the game and especially the fun things you can do as the overlord ^^

  • it has the same heroes as runebound...

  • whats the best expansion on Descent: Journeys In the Dark?

  • I am a huge fan of HeroQuest, and I love this game.

  • ma vaffanculo in italia non esistono i divisori nella scatola per tutti gli oggetti del gioco

  • why do people even bother commenting in nonenglish when it's so highly probable that nobody who understands it is going to read it and/or comment back?

  • Comment removed

  • credo proprio che se li sia comprati a parte :)

  • Agreed: HeroQuest was better. Faster gameplay and easy-to-understand rules, meaning anyone can learn to play. And who wants to play a 5-hour game except hard-core gamers? (Then again, look at Monopoly)

  • You guys/Girls should get hold of the original "Heroquest". A far superior game! Having fail that this game is a bit of fun

  • BS.

  • Like your reply Crudelus, the mechanics of Heroquest are simple. Thus giving ability for higher party interaction. A good break from the riggers of D&D

  • "....aarrrrrmm...."

  • this is a good buy, really fun as a game on its own, super useful and cheap option for modular dungeon tiles, comes with tons of counters :)

  • Is it better than this crap of WoW the boardgame???

  • its kind of like playing dungeons and dragons, only the DM is out to get you.

  • @RedCrayonFace isnt the Dm in D&D out to get you?

  • @godders976 yes ofcourse :D The DM is the "bad guys"

  • @godders976 the good ones aren't, D&D DMs should be leading the players on an adventure where they have an enjoyable role-playing experience. Only bad DMs are actively trying to kill the players.

  • @RedCrayonFace The DM is ALLLLLLLWAYS out to get you.

  • I like Munchkin Quest and I'm dying to play this game!!! This looks sooooo AWESOME

  • I really want to try this game . . .

  • what is your next reveiw going to be on, may i place request, batlelore

  • This is my favorite board game ever!

Every game session is absolutely unique and its super fun! :D

  • Glad you like it. This one is a favorite at my game night as well, even though the group that starts the game night playing this usually doesn't get to do much else. It's a fun ride though!
