I want this for college. Durability is definitely an issue for me when it comes to my laptop. My current Dell Inspiron is falling apart. It doesn't look like this would fit in my backpack too well but it has handles so hey! Lol.

Toughbooks are way more expensive. Does that make it necessarily better?

they are comparable in most ways with your typical 14-inch notebook, they can just take a drop better. they tend to be pretty light as well. in the case of the f8 there is a handle, which almost nothing else has.

it just looks like a piece of junk. compared to all the other computer desighns out there today like the macbook 2008 release, which i have, it looks like crap. anyways what are the specs on it like the ram, memory, hard drive?

3gb RAM, Intel C2D SP9300, 160GB disk, draft-n, mobile broadband, and weighs 3.7lbs.

the big deal with the toughbooks are they they are tough though, so they don't always look super sleek... but they can take a beating.

@AsherWarren This is for men though, not for women. So if you want looks and sleekness, buy a macbook pro. I am in military and I need something that can handle a beating like a man, not those womanly looking notebooks that I see everyday.
