Did any of you ever think that maybe Lincare hiring from within and paying driver service reps only $12.00/hour may have an effect do to the fact service reps do all the paper and grunt work. Turnover in any company show a lack of leadership and competence values that are not prevented there promoted, when you are hiring from within with managers that do not even have an education above high school creates an unprofessional morale and leadership to management. Stay clear of Lincare!! I'm with you on this one. Lincare is the spawn of the devil, if you ask me. I am constantly on the phone trying to help people that Lincare has overcharged. They bill over $6000 for an item that costs $500. One person they've billed over $40,000 for that same $500 item. They won't ever stop billing because Medicare will keep paying them. We wonder why we need Medicare/Medicaid reformed? Lincare is one reason.
Well, I would looking for a site to write a complaint regarding Lincare and happened upon this and glad that I did. I was going to order equipment from them recently and the next day a woman called me and flat out lied to me regarding the CPAP equipment I have no and how I have to deal with the original people, which was years ago because it still belonged to my present medical insurance. However, at the time I got the equipment, I had a different insurance. For that reason, the lie, CORRUPT.
i'm a lincare customer, double and triple billing, and I havent seen anyone from lincare since the unit was delivered several months ago. 2 canulars were delivered with unit, no more have been supplied. That would explain the infections in my nose.
I called to complain, nothing. I called as if I were inquiring for service, the assured me monthly checks and 6 to 8 canulars would be delivered per month. HAH ! lies.
Lincare is all about numbers. Mgr's pushed to do anything and everything so that they are plus 10 a month, even if that means holding a pick up. Sales reps do nothing but solicit in order to get their numbers. I have also be a witness to delivery tickets being altered after patients have signed. I have see a new CSR sent out in the field to do concentrator checks on her 1st day with out medical clearance. I work for Lincare in Liberty, MO and have see crazy things go on.
I've been at Lincare for 10 years, and it doesn't suprise me that people doctor the delivery tickets. We had someone in our area forge a ticket and she was fired. If you get asked to do something illegal report it to the Compliance Dept first. That was your mistake, you basically told an idiot sr service rep that he was doing something wrong.... what did you expect to happen? If you had good reason to believe they doctored tickets... call the compliance dept!!
First off, there is NO WAY in the 3 months you worked there that you were stopping at as many patients homes who would sign a sheet but would not let you check the concentrator as you are claiming. Sounds like you were trying to get out of doing your job.
I have been with Lincare for 7 years.. if you was asked to have something signed and then your manager added something on to that paper that was on them.. As the company goes, that wouldnt fly.. we do compliance training every year and if you know of any compliance issues they are on top of it right away, it sounds like you just in with a bad bunch of managers

I have worked for Lincare for 14 years and they are the most professional organization I have ever been a part of. All Lincare bashers here dont have a clue what they are talking about. Maybe they didnt do their job and lost it. Lincare doesnt fire you for the heck of it. Look at my tenure. They even have a compliance department to continue to help us NOT break the Healthcare laws and constantly keep you informed of all changes regarding medicare and mandate compliance training regularly.
As a CSR, I can only ensure that my own work is above reproach. From delivery tickets to PAs, I leave a documented trail of every step I've taken so if questioned, I can answer with a clear conscience and proof. I write novels in the comm log!

I have worked for lincare for 6 years. It all depends on how your center manager runs the place. We run a very organized center and have a great time working together. We have cookouts 1 or 2 times a month and work together with all set-ups. We have a 5 person rotation doing on-call and work 8-5...the 401k company match is like no other. I work for Lincare and several pt's have complained about O2 tanks that were empty. Lincare will continue to face lawsuits when they endulge in FRAUD especially on the elder pt's. If you say anything to your Center Manager or Corporate (Clearwater,FL) you are in fear of loosing your job and you will if you speak out aganist. How can you speak up for the elderly pt's? I work for Lincare and I've heard of several people being Non compliant with Mdcr guideline. I heard "as long as the numbers look good and boss gets bonus than you will not loose your job". I have personally seen where Lincare has charged or bill for services not reindeered. I've heard several pt's complain about "Mdcr fraud" and services they never rcvd (ex: service, filters,etc.) but Mdcr was billed for it.
I have worked for Lincare five years.Assets have spots to put in hours,filter and change,if you had them sign without you doing your job,then you broke the law.If I can't get with a patient,on one day,I make an appointment to return and service the concentrator. Plain and simple,YOU broke the law!

I agree with some of the other responses, if you were able to get a signature from the patient, or someone from the home, why couldn't you take out 4 minutes and actually check the machine. That makes no sense that you drove there, got out of the truck, got a signature, but didn't check the machine.

I worked for lincare 2006 thru 2007, if we ever got to a patients place and they would not allow us to check there equipment we would write refused C/M check on the DT then make them sign near the refusal note. Sorry to hear you found the wrong center to work for.

lincare has a promotion guideline that dictates the qualifications for promotions. right before the promotion those guidelines were removed. we knew what was about to happen when that veteran employee received a write up that was the only write up he ever received. we read the write up and told him if he pressed the issue it wouldn't stand up but he had already lost interest in working here any longer. its a shame that backstabbing and hearsay are widely used and excepted within lincare.

this office is really bad. a 5+ yrs veteran in this office was passed over for promotion and it was given to someone that has been there for less than two years. the policies have been ignored in this office to fit an agenda so much but no one says anything. it used to be a very nice place to work but now everyone is so afraid of being the next on the chopping block so they just grin and bear it. 7 ppl have either quit or been fired in less than a year because of the management. morale sucks
we knew larry and ken wanted you fired. you really pissed larry off by questioning his ways of getting out of doing his job. ken was just in the background as usual dropping "bugs" in everyone's ears. carla tried to play innocent but she was just as guilty. any manager that would talk about the previous manager by saying "she danced on a pole to make money" in front of the employees is not to be trusted in my book. also the way she degrades the employees behind their back is very unprofessional.

if you feel you need Documentation.... you must always give or leave a copy with the patient... weither or not they choose to keep it..
so maybe you can back it up..

After only two months they really didn't need a reason to get rid of you anyway, you were probably still on probation.
