I'm quite surprised how the movie turns out because I honestly think that it would cut to $800m at that time. i guess not a lotta guys watched this trailer. Damn, this is frightening and the last clip of this trailer, remembering Harry said, "prepare the world for the bad news". I thought the asteroid impacted !

Kudos to William Fichtner, the best actor in Armageddon ! He sounded as if he really is a NASA Astronaut !

But it's just, knowing it's logically impossible, and what? okay, the size of Texas is deadly but, wouldn't the size of Rhode Island can be dangerous as well? And Bay used the "threshold -- zero barrier" as the hair-raiser... but it didn't work. The asteroid is too close and I know because I'm a government astronomer. I know my stuff.

@DarkestSide1000 Well I've been interrested in astronomy since 2nd grade and I studied a little in the university - I know all about what's wrong and not, but somehow since I didn't really understood it when this came out (I was 12-13 years old) I guess I've sort of accepted it - I'm now an educated schoolteacher and studying philosophy so I guess it's about "normalizing" the wrongness and just accepting it + my social circumference is positive to the movie ;)
