absolutely timeless.

it is somwhat pointless to say 'wish they still sounded like this'.. i mean, really, they do, to them. it's all a process, an evolution, you can trace the roots, the iterations, the deviations, the piss-taking at times... they do seem to remain true to a sense of artistic clarity.. and hit up one of their live shows, you'll be breaking a grin in no time.

i owe many thanks to these lads, for the early sounds, the head trips, and a vision of things to come.

Haha, they used to really like that weird speech sample, didn't they? They used it on Kalpol Introl and Silverside. That's a great tune. Sometimes I wish they didn't leave their quirky but simple analog ambient techno (or at least do a small throwback to those days), but their new releases are mostly just as terrific as their old ones.

I have been saying that especially after AFX released ''chosen lords'' it woould be nice for them to chop and change their styles a little as the last few albums dont touch there early stuff ! but I do like oversteps !!!

this brings back a flood of memories. they came to the US in 1994 or so and just had wrapped me up in their sound. simple and intelligently crafted.
