I'm hearing changes to Barneys arrangement - don't do it.....I can tell the difference a couple of years make. Low Down was off in places and a couple of horns in that line had a unique sound (not good when you're in a band).

Yeah blowin loud is cool and all, but a real musician knows how to interpret the music properly, and Hampton does just that, you're looking at some future great musicians and producers from this band.
I havent heard JSU version, but the last time Hampton and JSU met...Hampton came ready to battle..JSU was caught sleeping...and yes it was on BET...anyway..good job Hampton...one my MEAC favorites along with FAMU, BCC and SCSU.
JSU's version is wayyyyy better...LOL! And to me SWAC bands are "louder" than MEAC bands but MEAC bands have a lot more musicality than the SWAC bands..I love SU, JSU, TXSU, AAMU,UAPB,ASU from the SWAC and from the MEAC I love NSU, FAMU, BCC, SCSU, NCAT, Howard...but both regions have good aspects basically..
most swac schools focus their arraingements in keys that provide alot of power and block chords... you will rarely hear syncopation.... As for this song.. true there are spots that could be better but not bad overall
dis is tha only song i like that Hampton plays
