  • runnin a little rich there bud. might want to turn the gas down or try a 600-650 holley. 750 is far to much for your cam. if you want to get serious try comp cams xe284h 294duration 588 lift cam with a 750 holley, with a highrise, which is what i have in my truck. might want to write back the people that sent you the cam and tell them you got powned, this is not a 292. if so you'd be in the 611 lift range and about 310 duration.comp cams can custom grind you a cam that fits all of your desire.

  • Nice truck man ... lil by lil i know chevys are good project... idk but i got an 88 2.8 blazer in the works but i aint ganna engine swap ima bust a full blown on my shit

  • Timing is retarded too much , and idle with that cam would be @ 1000 rpm , u put it in drive and die

  • Great sounding engine

  • Factory dual trans ......:)-

  • put some headers on there and u will gain prolly around 20 horses and it will sound much better!

  • Damn son. A 292 bumpstick & you're sporting factory exhaust manifolds?

  • VACUUM LEAK FTL?

  • Everyone bashing the 305 is speaking in respect to a 350. Saying a 350 with the same stuff will perform better than a 305..... Well, NO SHIT! Beyond shrouding, you are talking 45 more cubes. And guess what, a 421 sbc will out perform a 350 or 383. Getting beyond the obvious, there is a 305 sprint class here in PA and those cars run bad ass. you can definitely, with some work, make a 305 kick shit!!

  • wow...you can hear it choking out...amazing it runs....you'd think that 500+ lift would flood out that small ass 305

  • nice truck bud! i v got a 82 3/4 ton with a 454 and looking for a good cam. any suggestions

  • bigger pipes at least 2/12

  • Glasspacks?

  • We put a 292 cam in a 305 to prove that it will work .The oher engine after we flammed it is a 400 small block with an rv cam.Right now the FLAMMED BEAST has a 400 small block with a mega cam, victor jr intake, edelbrock carb,411

possie with racing slickes, and will have one of my trannies, one is a b&m 350 turbo with a 3500 stall The other trannie is a built powerglide with a trans brake whit a 3800 stall. and will be finished in a few days coming to Utube very soon. Will be under 82 chevy truck

  • @1968budchuckhill what all did you have to do to run this cam?

  • We put a 292 cam in a 305 to prove that it will work and do the job.The oher engine after we flammed it is a 400 small block with an rv cam.Right now the FLAMMED BEAST has a 400 small block with a mega cam, victor jr intake, edelbrock carb,411possie with racing slickes, and will have one of my trannies, one is a b&m 350 turbo with a 3500 stall The other trannie is a built powerglide with a trans brake and will be finished in a few days coming to utube very soon. Will be under 82 chevy truck

  • Baffles me as to why anyone would waste money putting anything but a small cam in an engine that has such an EXTREMELY shrouded chamber as the 305 does with it's EXTREMELY small piston diameter. Put that same cam in a 350 with a 4 inch bore and it'll function so MUCH better. It's power and money wasted on a 305. Did it help? Oh. I'm sure it did. Was it a good money/time benefit? No, comparatively. But some people are blinded by their own decisions. I'm sure he'd NEVER admit it was a waste.

  • sounds good for a 305

  • please do us a favor... get some headers and 3"exhaust.. it will take the paine away .. =P

  • way to small exhaust! My wifes toyota camery will out run it lol!

  • Lmao! A "JDM" Tach in a 1982 c10!? smh...

  • Better raise that idol or your gonna foul those plugs

  • lol 1. if you have to go above 5 grand to make your truck sound "good", its really not.

    2. those are some cute exhaust tips lol

  • leave it up to dumbass arkansas to keep header on a cammed engine

  • to run a 292 cam you would need to run at least a good mid rpm intake like a vic jr or air gap no way in hell can you do it on a manifold. and just from the looks of things now this just a guess so forgive me but that rochester carb wouldn't hack it either. you need at least a 750 which would drown a 305 with stock components and a big cam

  • @BtG1647 the q-jets went up to 850cfm's if i'm not mistaken. bigger mains would be in order, but the rochesters are sweet when tuned right.

  • ive got an 84 sierra.. and wondering if you know how much it would cost to buy the rollpan and tailgate to fit it.. i have a set of chrome bumpers in immaculate condition, gunna put them on my showtruck.

  • why would you run a 292 with stock manifolds?

  • dude you got a major vacuum leak

  • should rename this video, How To Blow Your Motor

  • bigger cams and headers go hand and hand

  • its just an rv cam...my truck sounds like that

  • thats NOT a 292 cam. and it would be silly and pointless to run a cam that big on stock iron manifolds.

  • thats a 270 sounds just like my brothers camaro with a 270 in his 305

  • Sounds great but I gad 292 Duration in a 355 and it seemed you could hear about each cylinder fire it sounds closer to a 280, What stall are you running. With my 292 3000 was as small as I could go

  • sounds stock to me

  • nice truck, my fav kinda truck is a chevy in primer

  • dats not a 292 cam buddy

  • sounds like a 270 cam to me.... 292 has a racy idle.. nice truck though
