  • I love this video I watch it all The time

  • I just wanted to make note of something not mentioned in the vid that is critical to connecting amplifiers and speaker cabinets, Ohm matching.

All amps and speakers have a minimal Ohm impedence and it's of the upmost importance to match the Ohm rating of both. Eg: 4Ohm amp to 4Ohm speaker cab.

Know the Ohm impedence of your amp and cab and make sure they match. NEVER connect a speaker cab with a lower Ohm rating than that of your amp. Eg: 8 Ohm amp to 4Ohm cab. You WILL fry your amp.

  • It just tells you how much power is coming into your amp. It does not control how much or little comes & goes. You need what's called a power regulator for that & they can be expensive. - Russ Rodgers

  • Hey Russ,

Could you explain that light bar right at the top-middle of your amp more thoroughly? The one that tells you how much power is coming in from the outlet.

If its too much or too little power, how can you fix that problem?

  • What power conditioner do you recommend for a 200W bass/amp rig

  • I use a Furman PL-Plus Series 2 as shown in the video. It would work fine with any rack mounted amp.

  • I just bought this same bass!

  • thank you, as a converted drummer to bass player, i have never heard this info. you are a Godsend!!!

  • @drummernamedjoz Thank you. Please check out my website. Be well. - Russ
