  • I am an American Yank and I have never met an Aussie I didn't like. They drink hard, listen to great bands and have a wicked fun sense of humor!!! Australia is the only other place on Earth I can imagine living in. Go True Blue!!!

  • First time I saw them do this live was at Calder Raceway In October 1977 along with 65000 others. It was f***ing amazing.

  • @Rexerman89 Except that they are Australian and Wal Mart doesn't exist here.

  • @zapkvr Really?! Austrailia doesn't have Wal Mart? What do they have?

  • @elginxxxman What do you mean? WTF is a Wal Mart?

  • @zapkvr Oh, sorry, WalMart (my computer often puts spaces in between capitals automatically). You know, big, blue retail giant with smiley face stickers?

  • @elginxxxman He's Australian, WalMart isn't in Australia.

  • @Powderwombat K-Mart then? Haha, yeah I assumed as much.

  • LRB was always cool and the chicks loved this band

  • Jett, you posted that a year ago but I am just reading it today and still want to pay my condolences. Losing someone close to you is never easy. My loss wasn't as tragic as yours but it hurts nonetheless. Time and music heals all wounds no matter how deep.

  • that what music is about those memories,i lost my wife,we loved this group.

  • I lost my dad early last year to a heart attack ( my dad wasn't fat) it was a colestrol build up and we lost him about 10 11 at night it was a school night and my sis and i had to go to bed an hour earlier... my mum worked from 10:30 to 6 in the morning and she rushed home and found him... dead in the bed. so it kinda relates to the song if we got there at the right time we could of saved him... i'm now fourteen i just turned 13 three months before my dad's death and its a bad age to lose them

  • @alienkilla22 may the Lord wrap his arms around you and take over is my prayer for you.

  • @alienkilla22 hang on to God , trust me I know. Be strong , i lost my Dad too.

  • observe and report braught me here, from the imdb forums

  • The singer looks like a young Arnold Schwarzenegger with a beard and over sized hair

  • I guess 10 Beiber fans are beyond help.

  • @KG84C What's a Beiber? =P

  • @PsYcHoFaB its like a beaver i think, but people dont hunt it for its pelts... even tho they should :)

  • @PsYcHoFaB A Beiber is a little punk that should be shot

  • @chewie211171 True true, but I still like the 4G commercial with him and the Osbournes. lol

  • i've seen live bands before

  • Hell ya, never did hear this song til I watched Observe and Report. Makes me want to pull a grand theft auto and rack up around 6 or 15 grand in property damage.

  • 2:00 onwards is awesome.. gets me pumped.. 70s style

  • RIP Steve

  • Reminds me of my dad.

  • Hell, every one of them has an excellent voice. They each have a song to sing. Good harmony too. Love these guys. :-) Yeah, peace and love to you all.

  • that's a nice '76 firebird

  • whats it like inside the bubble does ya head ever give you trouble????HELL YEAH

  • Lookin very much like a young Kenny Rogers! wickedly awesome song and group.

  • 60's-thru most 90's music is awesome oo;s SUCKs

  • it is just me or does Glenn look like he's high on music from 0:29 - 0:40 ? lol

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob. If he is, he has much reason to be!:)

  • Love Little River Band..Almost every song has a good memory!!

  • help didn't arrive on time for 8 people :(

  • LRB great band!!

  • that bass hook is so cool..

  • To the poster, this isn't quite the "original" lineup. Original lead guitarist Rick Formosa left after the first album and was replaced by David Briggs (a very good player in his own right).

For anyone who cares, Rick played a classic (and killer) extended guitar solo in their first hit, "It's a Long Way There." Look off to the right and scroll down to the one posted by Chrissie644 to hear it. (Note that there is also a drastically edited version of the song posted, missing the solo.)

  • Great vid and one of my favorite tunes by LRB...

  • Observe and Report

  • OMG what an oldie, love this song, great stuff:*

  • go Shorro! : )

  • this is the best song to be listening to when you are going down Highway 80 between Hawkins, Texas and Longview, Texas :)

  • :34 mark - Looks like Jack Black !!

  • @chargerrtdude ...haha your hella rite..I thought i was crazy for thinking the same thing but guess not...

  • Now we're talkin, what a bad ass song!! This song kicks ass, long live the 70's!!

  • love when they use this in Observe and Report

  • Can't wait to see them this weekend in Richmond Hill, Ga!

  • @djparrish01. I'll be there too!

  • 2:26 - 2:39 Those harmonies! Beautiful! I miss these types of songs. I don't hear this anymore.

  • I saw them last night in Des Moines, Iowa. It was great with Wayne Nelson on lead vocals, but they need Glenn. I read that Glenn was "forced out because of musical direction reasons", and that's silly when you consider that it's 2010 and they're still singing the old songs. And I wonder just how many people are wishing that Glenn was singing his songs instead of Wayne.

  • Sounds great every time.

  • Nice transition at 2:05... The vocals really make it all happen. Nice video.

  • This is 1977 and Western Australia/Australia Rock&Roll at it's finest. This is a great video of a great group. That two stepped bass beat carries so nicely. Great vocal arrangement and awesome guitar! The drummer seemed to get it right the whole time too . . The video is awesome too . .

  • wow, those days back in the 70s.

  • This is part of Music's "New Testament"...figurativly speaking

  • @HarmonySue1 ....quite the look at of a dream possibility way back then in 1978 no doubt...Love takes Time!....this morning hearing Pat Benatar in my FM stereo..a queenly voice and somehow herself, an excellency....maybe it's about a wedding up there and his Bride to be; The Queen of Music; cutest lady..Most Beautiful.

  • killa song

  • They still play this on KQRS FM, Minnesota. The band plays the Medina a couple times a year it seems!

  • Yep, I've seen them up there a couple times. That place was around when I turned 21 back in 92, it was probably around long before that.

  • lov ethis song

  • Great vid & song - thanks!!

  • The first EVER concert I went to was to see these fellas at Festival Hall in Brisbane around '78. And if i remember correctly their back up band was The Flowers, later to become Icehouse. I'm sure of it, though it WAS a long time ago........

  • I'm a Sheriff's Deputy, this is the next song I am going to have on the radio next time I'm going 10-18. Love the song.

  • SALUTE!!!

  • great music and good years...cheers!!!!!

  • Observe and report

  • @JohnChurch2394 For the young ones, among us. Too bad that great solo fades out abruptly as it does, even more so here. EVH, eat your heart out! SMokin'

  • Love these guys!!!!! Truly underrated!!!!

  • One of the all time aussie greats.

  • Love this song! Miss these guys!!!! Need a reunion tour!!!!!!

  • @luvinevryminitofit88 They're playing in MN, either soon or just did, I beleive the show's soon as of this moment

  • this songs real good, its helping me out and getting me through shit

  • Greatest song ever? No. Is there any song out there better? No.

  • LRB>everything else

  • You scare me dude...it is just music......

  • Has anyone noticed how brilliant music like this about following the human spirit: "are you always in confusion, surrounded by illusion", to blatantly toting the false hopes of consumerism & worship of one's self? :(

  • your an idiot

  • "This is a song of hope, in troubled times"

  • your ghey

  • I"m glad to see that the WolfMans son and Gregg Brady made something of Themself . No just kidding what a great group & song!!!

  • That is one amazing beard.

  • I had forgotten about this little known group but they were good then and today

  • little known? you're kidding, right?

  • This song was playing at the end of our coffee break at the cannery. Our one friend was off like a shot once the warning bell went off. In the mmean timme LRB was singing...Hang on/help is on the way/I'll be there as fast as I can.

  • top notch stuff

  • My little brother passed away in the early 80's. His twin sister, my lil sis, used to say this song always made her think of him. Specially, Hang on, help is on it's way! I'll be there as fast as I can! It still brings tears to my eyes. Sorry to bum anyone out. I just had all these memories rushing back at me. I love this band. PEACE N LOVE

  • So sorry - wow - that is touching. Peace n love to you and your lil sis, too!

  • My brother died in 1980 2, do 2 a fireworks accident. He was holding a roman candle at an angle that when he lit it all of the 10 shot candle shot all at once sending the roman candle which in those days had a 4in. red wooden stake into his chest peircing his aorta above his heart died in front of me, took only 2mins. point is all the music of LRB reminds me of him and it still gets 2 me because their music is totally awesome! up there with the eagles and very emotional. had 2 tell the world.

  • jett5689 lots of love, agree with that, great band and helped me with stuff too...

  • @jett5689 bless your heart, im so sorry. your story made me cry

  • @WhydontyouLikMyAss

  • @jett5689 that sucks bro

  • @jett5689

Thank you for sharing this, jett. GBU and the memory of your brother

  • @jett5689 I'm sorry. ): thats a bad way to go.

  • @jett5689

    lol

  • @jett5689 r.i.p dude

  • @jett5689 I couldnt even fathom your loss. I appreciate you sharing that moment

  • @Yoacham1 I totally understand, my brother died in 1980, totally reminds me of him. PS. I also have twin brothers. (((HUGS))) x

  • @Yoacham1 Bitter sweet memories are especially powerful and lasting. Peace n Love back to you and your little sis.

  • I always loved this band too. Gives me 'goose bumps' hearing this and such a delight to see the original band. Though if i've got my history correct David Briggs(guitar) and George McArdle(bass) joined from the second album that this track comes from. The simply excellent 'Diamantina Cocktail' ?

Hope you get to read this and that our shared experience of this wonderful band makes you smile! : )

  • @Yoacham1 What did he die from?

  • @Yoacham1 Man that is what music is all about! There are songs that make me cry, songs that always make me remember events in my life that were great too.

  • This song was one of my favorites in the summer of '77 when I was 15, thin and a gorgeous specimen of teenage boy LOL

The late 70s-early 80's sure were alot of fun but I could do without those terrible clothes that passed for the height of fashion in those days

  • And if you were back there, you wouldn't leave home without those clothes, LOL! Isn't that the way of it?

  • anyone know the year this particular one was performed?

  • This song was a big hit back in 1977

  • Thanks for that info:)

I can remember my older brothers blasting LRB through the speakers of his van (the love coach, lol, as he called it) around the year he graduated in 79.

God, how I wish I turn back the times to good music, fast cars, and not a care in the world..........

  • That Gibson Fire Bird is amazing

  • Great band as it was, and great song, helped me at times.

  • The real LRB !!! Some management company "bought " the name and put together a tribute band.

Now these guys can't even tour as LRB. They wrote and palyed on these songs.

Money is what it's about not the music.

  • Surely they can still use "The Little River Band"...

  • The others should be Little River Bank. An Aussie pop mag of the 70s once made that typo.

  • They're Austrailian ya know.

  • Dag nabbit - you beat me to it!!
