Wow, thank you very much. What an awesome and educating video. I am trying to teach myself Japanese. I really appreciate such detail and generosity. Arigato! You definitely have another subscriber. You can also thank BobbyJudo. I found my way here because of him. :D
@punkonthis ; Thank you for your kind words and the subscription. I taught myself Japanese pretty much so it is an achievable goal. Hope my videos are useful to you. :D
I think the expression you were looking for is "河童の屁" instead of "he no kappa."
And the kappa maki is called that because cucumbers are one of the kappa's favorite foods. I know some other interesting stuff about kappa, so I was gonna make a vid tonight, if you don't mind. I'll do it tastefully.
@bobbyjudo : Huh, I honestly didn't know about cucumbers being a kappa's favorite food. Asked for He no kappa vs kappa no he, I found that in a book and was quoting the book. I guess my source material is wrong. Yea man, by all means, make a video on this. Kappa rule. (I also know that you are but an arms length away should you make fun of me too bad :P)
@bobbyjudo : Sure man, just please don't make it a 'ah what a jackass. You are so wrong entropy102' etc. Just out of interest, what is wrong on the video. I can annotate any big mistakes.
Very nice video indeed - I really appreciate that you went out side and showed us some interesting stuff. I hope that you will do more of that in the future.
@Theytoldmetodoit1 : I want to do more video's on yokai but I want to find good statues or pictures to go with them. Glad to see your channel is getting bigger and bigger by the way :D
@Entropy102 There are hundreds upon hundreds of Yokai so I am sure you will find a statue or a good picture of one. Or go into the mountains, the forests the rivers or streams with a camera :-P.....What's that?.....Yokai are mythical? I refuse to believe that. :-D
Thanks, yeah! For some reason my channel just suddenly seemed to grow.
@Theytoldmetodoit1 : Well I literally just bought a new camera and this was a good way to test it out. There are some shrines I want to go back to and talk about. There is a huge inari shrine in my prefecture so that will be a good chance to talk about kitsune but other than that it will have to be case by case. Saying that though, I just broke down 童 in this video so that could be a good segue into 屋敷童子.
@NocheeseSherlock : Cheers mate. I am pretty sure that this kind of kappa is what is referred to in mario. The only other kappa I know in Japanese is raincoat.
Your kanji vids are the best. geesh

Also, would you mind if I made a response video to this? I have a couple of corrections and some additions about kappa...

I've been to that place! That's near the jinja in Saga, right!? Jeff and I wandered around there and fed some crazy pigeons a while ago.
Cool video!

@Ciaela : Yep, near Saga Jinja. I am surprised you didn't get eaten alive by those pigeons though. ;)
