  • Weak ass comment. It has never broken, cut everything I've asked it too, beat it up and it just keeps coming back for more. I gave it to my neighbor when I bought a Stihl (only because I need a longer bar) and he feels the same way. For what it is, the J3816 is a fine saw.

  • Weak ass chainsaw.

  • Could have vibrated idle screw out. Or exhaust could be blocking air flow

  • mine was running good last year until one day i was useing it and it wouldent idle, then i tryed running it this year and it wont run at all, i will run for about a second on half choke thats it, any ideas?

  • How much?

  • Looks nice and the brake system is good but i still rather get a echo or husquvina (how ever you spell it) and it kinda looks like a tractor with the oil caps

  • @joeyakabert Echo efco makes the JD saws I'm pretty sure.

  • @bigholmes95 efco, made in italy only made cs models for john deere, i own a cs56 and it works great, quality is very good.

  • Yes, I do still have it and it is for sale. I'm only selling it because I had to buy a larger saw for some large tree felling. The JD is in great shape as you can see, and it has a brand new Stihl chain on it.

  • still have it?

  • sell it yet?

  • i just got one for free, same model with 3 chains and a case

  • @destroybob14 : Excellent! I'm sure you'll get some good use from it. Remember to buy cutting chaps; the legs you save you save may be your own!

  • @GreenmanWood ya im 15 so my parents wont let me ues it alone yet, but ill get some.
