I had to come back & watch this again. Impressive marksmanship! I've always felt that a true hunter used a bow because any knucklehead can shoot a gun & kill something.
I couldn't agree with you more. Never was much of a hunter myself. Just walking around in the great outdoors being in tune with nature was enough for me.
Wow! Pappy, it don't get any better than that! I imagine the real hard work comes when you got to dress out that monster and haul it out by horse. That's a whole lotta meat!
The quality of the video is great. The scenery is gorgeous and though I am not against hunting, my late husband was an avid bowhunter, it's hard for me to watch.
You're an excellent shot Pappy, I never knew you could take out a moose with an arrow! I'm not much for hunting, but I did enjoy that. Really great quality too!
about damn time!!! I dont have time to watch it all now but when I get home from work I shall I was just sooo excited that you rendered it at a higher quality
No worries Lass... Not everyone can or should do it... I just refuse to eat the steroids, herbicides, growth hormones and fertilizers etc that domestic meats have in them... Moose is the best tasting meat there is also...
This is exactly why my long held thoughts on hunting have changed dramatically Pappa. Learning about all the crapola that is in so called healthy food has really changed my views on so many things, and again with a family plagued with ill health of one sort or another, I refuse to feed them anything that has additives or that hasnt been naturally nurtured or led a good free life before it comes to my table.
Magnificent footage.. Is this a re-upload? It rings a bell.. :) Beautiful creature, I would not have been upset, had he been allowed to live, but alas at least I hope he gave you some good meals.. :) My 'aunt Greta' makes the most delicious moose meatballs.. :)
but even here in our sparely settled area its too civilised for such large wildlife.
On the other hand there had been a wolve sighting in a nearby region not too long ago.
And (zhis comes into my mind when i´m writing this) some weeks ago in the darkness i saw an animal in the light of the cars headlights of which i thought it might have been a wolve.
Nice one, nice country
