Gears of war 3,Halo reach, fable 3 and mass effect 3 will all be coming out by next year.

Also the 2D Sonic in this Vid (called Sonic 4) is coming in Episodes for download on Xbox 360, Wii and Ps3. If Sega really would plan a new console, why should they bring their number one Trademark (Sonic) for the other Consoles and not as a Launch Title for Ringedge?

SEGA may probably unveil it's new On-live like streaming device at CES based on Ringwide hardware. The Ringedge console project is currently on hold, and probably won't be annouced until later this spring. Don't fret though, Ringwide uses a GPU engine simluar to 360 called Radeon 2600 HD Pro
well, sega joining with apple would make sense, since apple has the funds and innovations and sega has games and experience. my only concern is nintendo wii, since that thing is really original and hard to beat in terms of innovartive gameplay. and making another ordinary console wouldn't really make sence, since there already are xbox360 and ps3. unless the new sega console has a dozen of unique titles to it when it is launched and some of the most popular multi-platform games (like gta f.e.)

SEGASammy is planning to test market and sell a On-Live like device this spring based on RingWide hardware that will go up against the Wii and it's casual base. The GPU uses Radeon HD 2600 Pro so the graphics will look simluar to 360.

Sega has already said that they aren't interested in Shenmue at the moment. It took 70 mil to make the first one. and for that to have been profitable every dreamcast owner would have had to buy 2 copies of it...possibly more.
All available resources are going to franchises such as yakuza for a western release, and games in development.
SEGASammy may return to development of Shenmue in the distant future, but as far as I'm concerned the Shenmue trademark is officially dead. The reason being is because the franchise was too much of a sales dissapointment for them which is a shame because it really was a great series . SEGA is looking to start a new franchise with "Yakuza" here in the states first on the PS3 and then on the Ringedge. Besides no need to fret, SEGASammy remains the only publisher trying new ideas.
I just hope they don't screw up the controller! The DreamCast controller was way too big and just one stick to move around with. A dual stick controller, standard four button scheme and four triggers would be great! Plus don't count out HD DVD. It would be cheaper to develop on these disks since Blue Ray took over. If the controller doesn't suck I will be getting the RingEdge!
I really hope that Ringedge materializes into a home console. I think that DC came out at a weird time and that was its undoing more than anything else. I'm about 60 % convinced that this will really happen, the patents on the controllers and mention of "HD" in the needlemouse commercial are what make me think that it will happen. I really hope that they take their time and do this right, and it will be incredibly stupid if this is really and arcade system. Yikes.

Mate, RingEdge is an Arcade Hardware, It has been confirmed, by SEGA. It is also Financially unviable for them to release a console, because EVERYONE has a Wii, and most also have a HD console aswell.
SEGA's Market analysts call this a Saturated Market....

RingEdge uses 384MBs of GDDR3 from the Nividia Geforce 8800M GTS GPU. PS3'
s RSX uses 265MBs. There's a possiblity that SEGASammy may switch the chip for a GeForce 260M GTX chip for 512MBs if Sony does build a PS4.

SEGA may probably unveil it's new On-live like streaming device at CES based on Ringwide hardware. The Ringedge console project is currently on hold, and probably won't be annouced until later this spring. Don't fret though, Ringwide uses a GPU engine simluar to 360 called Radeon 2600 HD Pro

well, sega joining with apple would make sense, since apple has the funds and innovations and sega has games and experience. my only concern is nintendo wii, since that thing is really original and hard to beat in terms of innovartive gameplay. and making another ordinary console wouldn't really make sence, since there already are xbox360 and ps3. unless the new sega console has a dozen of unique titles to it when it is launched and some of the most popular multi-platform games (like gta f.e.)

SEGASammy is planning to test market and sell a On-Live like device this spring based on RingWide hardware that will go up against the Wii and it's casual base. The GPU uses Radeon HD 2600 Pro so the graphics will look simluar to 360.

Sega has already said that they aren't interested in Shenmue at the moment. It took 70 mil to make the first one. and for that to have been profitable every dreamcast owner would have had to buy 2 copies of it...possibly more.
All available resources are going to franchises such as yakuza for a western release, and games in development.

SEGASammy may return to development of Shenmue in the distant future, but as far as I'm concerned the Shenmue trademark is officially dead. The reason being is because the franchise was too much of a sales dissapointment for them which is a shame because it really was a great series . SEGA is looking to start a new franchise with "Yakuza" here in the states first on the PS3 and then on the Ringedge. Besides no need to fret, SEGASammy remains the only publisher trying new ideas.

I just hope they don't screw up the controller! The DreamCast controller was way too big and just one stick to move around with. A dual stick controller, standard four button scheme and four triggers would be great! Plus don't count out HD DVD. It would be cheaper to develop on these disks since Blue Ray took over. If the controller doesn't suck I will be getting the RingEdge!

There's the cost of acquiring the Rom and or Disk....The cost of building the hardware to support it....
that's why some things like hybrid cars are so expensive
Blu-ray is the leader....it's mass produced therefore the cost to develop and produce it has dropped down massively....
Developing for a less popular or even dead format skyrockets the cost....
If something is more available it cost less...

I really hope that Ringedge materializes into a home console. I think that DC came out at a weird time and that was its undoing more than anything else. I'm about 60 % convinced that this will really happen, the patents on the controllers and mention of "HD" in the needlemouse commercial are what make me think that it will happen. I really hope that they take their time and do this right, and it will be incredibly stupid if this is really and arcade system. Yikes.

Mate, RingEdge is an Arcade Hardware, It has been confirmed, by SEGA. It is also Financially unviable for them to release a console, because EVERYONE has a Wii, and most also have a HD console aswell.
SEGA's Market analysts call this a Saturated Market....
Not hapening guys. SEGA have also announced a release list of most 2010 games and they are all for existing consoles.

A streaming device doesn't need to be output with hardware...Much less a storage medium.(The whole point of streaming...you don't need to store info if it's being streamed to you..Ex. Youtube).
It just needs to be in a box, have a Transmission device, and TV tuner inside.

Onlive is just a box, a Transmission device, and a TV tuner inside.
SEGA is the one who will need the servers with the hardware....You will just need those 3 things listed above.
You don't need a core 2 duo computer with a 8300 Geforce to watch this video....
If your computer can play video then you can watch this video.
