According to Bob, the song was tracked with two sets of drums by accident. I believe he said he was listening to it one night while driving and looked down to see that he was doing 100+mph. I can believe that.

The key word here is balance.

Most rock and country music these days are over produced to the point of exhaustion, featuring a barrage of instruments and effects that when played together sound like an incomprehensible mess. This problem is only exacerbated when the vocal track is played at a higher volume, which is a feature almost every song as to incorporate today for some incredibly stupid reason.

This song is a strong exception. Everything works! Everything contributes!

And its beautiful!
