Excellent - just what we needed to re-set the pressure after draining the radiator to re-fit it back on the wall. Afterwards noticing we had no hot water, and fault read F22. The manual didnt help at all ... huge thanks to You Tube once again !! :-)
I had the vaillant EcoTec plus just about a year ago with a different problem recently happened. It heats up water well but not the radiators! gush I feel I wasted lots of money on this boiler. Now vaillant ppl call me to extend maintenance deal with them, and I tell you I don't want even to know them or get them into the house.
Fact. The Classic is the most popular selling boiler ever. I agree the Isar and Icos did have issues at the start. The black PCB boards were a nightmare, butr they have improved using a Six sigma rated company. The Logic boiler will give the Vaillant and Worcester a run for their money. If you think Ideal are the worst, then you obviously install Ravenheat or Arriston! Check you facts before making sure a sweeping statement.

Quite disturbing, Vaillant boilers should not be fitted with an external filling loop and should only be pressurised using the internal filling loop. The pressure gauge isn't too accurate on the Vaillant ecoTEC, instead press the minus key which will display a more accurate reading of the pressure on the display. The button with the picture of a flame with a cross on it is used to reset the boiler. Fault F.22 is usually displayed when there is not enough pressure.
Just as i thought,no explanation as to why that is "quite disturbing".No reason whatsoever why a vaillant boiler (or any other sealed system boiler)cant be filled via an external filling loop.
It is stupid to have two filling loops and Vaillant advise not to, there is a built in filling loop for a reason. I didn't say that all sealed system boilers should not be filled via an external filling loop!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
YOU SAVED MY LIFE.

as if most ppl on benifits have the brains to do that.
& when they do it they will fuck it up & try give extra pressure to shower by making boiler have higher pressure.
its not related but if you dont tell them then they will try it & blow the 3 bqar valve which then wont seal.

Vaillant are crap overrated boilers. Try a Ideal Logic. Fantic boiler
oufc1975 2 years ago
Bollocks! Ideal are probably the worst manufacturer out there, with the Isar, Icos...the list goes on.

shouldnt it be in 22mm?
adi1530 2 years ago
it is in 22mm up to the manufacturers connection
joop1977 2 years ago
why is the gas in 15mm?
adi1530 2 years ago
why not?
UtubeEmployee3387 2 years ago
@adi1530 that paricular vaillant boiler is rather small, so 15mm is plenty

i think he is showing you how to fill a sealed system in general, not just a vaillant

Why is that then?
